Los Angeles Rams 17-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

    Osi Umenyiora

I think this is the end of the road for Tampa Bay. I think the Rams will be too tough for them

Antonio Brown is gone for the Buccaneers, Chris Godwin is injured, now Tristan Wirfs too, and you want to line that team up against Von Miller and Aaron Donald. It's going to be hell for Tom Brady to play in.

  2. Bucs go three-and-outpublished at 20:53 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 17-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Then the defending champs swiftly go three-and-out to punt the ball back to the Rams, with Tom Brady throwing two incompletions.

  4. touchdown

Touchdown - Ramspublished at 20:49 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 17-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Oh my... but on the second play of the second quarter, Cooper Kupp goes direct and loses his man, Matthew Stafford spots the blown coverage and floats a deep ball right to Kupp. The triple-crown winner makes the catch without bringing his stride before cutting inside and running it in from 70 yards.

The Rams were on third and 20 yet the Bucs allowed Kupp that much space. And that's a guy who led the league for touchdowns in the regular season - he now has 18 including the play-offs.

  5. Stafford Sackedpublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 10-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Matthew Stafford already has 106 passing yards under his belt... but on the first play of the second quarter he's sacked for the first time, with Vita Vea coming up the middle as the Rams quarterback is trapped in the pocket.

Los Angeles Rams v Tampa Bay Buccaneers (20:00)

All the big names are playing just the way the Rams hoped they would. They're coming through in the clutch and this is why they brought them in.

Matthew Stafford and Odell Beckham Jr have been fantastic, Von Miller is getting to the quarterback when necessary - these guys have paid dividends for this team.

  7. End of the firstpublished at 20:42 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 10-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

A bad kick-off goes straight out of bounds so the Rams get an extra 15 yards and start on the 40 for their next drive as the clock reaches zeroes at the end of the first quarter.

  8. field goal

Field goal - Bucspublished at 20:41 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 10-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The drive stalls but the Bucs get points on the board with Ryan Succop booting a 45-yarder.

That's a decent answer from a Tampa Bay side just getting themselves together after a tough start. No sign of star receiver Mike Evans on the stats sheet yet...

  9. Big Gronk gainpublished at 20:39 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 10-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Brady finds Gronkowski this time with his trademark run down the middle, he's so tough to drag down once he gets those big legs moving too.

And speaking of legs moving, how about those moves on 44-year-old Brady to sashay out of danger from Von Miller.

First TD of the night goes to the Rams, and from a very unlikely source in back-up tight end Kendall Blanton!

Blanton had just four catches all season, but he's now caught a play-off touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford.

Bruce Arians will be fuming with those two big defensive penalties though, which cost 31 yards and kept the Rams going. And we know from last week that Tampa Bay's head coach can be an angry man on the sidelines.

  11. Another big penaltypublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 3-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This time it's Ndamukong Suh who gets a big 15-yard penalty against the Bucs for taunting Matthew Stafford.

Not sure that was taunting, it was more warning from Suh, who thought Stafford had kicked out at him as the Rams defender knocked him down.

  12. Bucs flaggedpublished at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 3-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Bucs defender Jamel Dean commits a costly pass interference penalty that's worth 16 yards to the Rams and keeps this drive going.

Got to watch those penalties with LA's talented receivers.

  13. Brady hit as Bucs puntpublished at 20:23 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 3-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay have to punt again as Aaron Donald gets one of those big paws on Tom Brady and forces the ball out of his hands.

The Bucs recover but they have to kick it away after another dodgy drive and that's not a great start for the hosts.

Donald did the damage up Tampa Bay's right side - where Tristan Wirfs plays....

  14. field goal

Field goal - Ramspublished at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 3-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Another Stafford shot fails to come off so Matt Gay sends over a 26-yarder.

That's a great starting drive though with a large dose of Beckham, a slice of Kupp and some Stafford sauce - all the ingredients the Rams will need to challenge the champs.

  15. Almost pickedpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Stafford's been excellent so far but he should've been intercepted with an ill-judged shot into the end zone there when looking for Cooper Kupp.

Bad decision and bad throw - but the Rams survive.

  16. Great play by LA!published at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 0-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Odell Beckham takes in a short sidearm from Stafford on the run and twists and turns his way for a first down.

Then tight end Tyler Higbee hauls in a 29-yard grab to get inside the Tampa Bay 10.

  17. Kupp over midfieldpublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 0-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Cooper Kupp famously won the receiving 'triple crown' this season with the most receptions, yards and touchdowns - and his first catch of the game takes the Rams over halfway.

  18. Rams off and runningpublished at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 0-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Here comes Matthew Stafford, who feeds the ball to Odell Beckham Jr for an early catch. He's bang in form now after signing during the season following his departure from Cleveland.

    He'll be a threat tonight.

  19. Bucs puntpublished at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 0-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Newsflash - Brady fails to connect on a pass to Rob Gronkowski!

It's a third-and-eight and the big tight end goes for a quick crossing route to get the first down but the ball is punched out of his grasp.

    Tampa Bay kick it away.

  20. Play-off Lenny!published at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

A first carry for Leonard Fournette in over a month sees him power through for an 11-yard gain!

A second carry for Leonard Fournette in over a month sees him power through for a 10-yard gain.

What is it with this guy and the play-offs?
