  2. Eagles reach Super Bowl 57published at 03:31 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

FT: San Francisco 49ers 7-31 Philadelphia Eagles

Nice touch, although I'm not sure this will go down well with fans of the Eagles' divisional rivals the New York Giants.

"What a great job by our defence."

Cincinnati Bengals 20-23 Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes speaking to CBS: "We played together, this team stepped up against a really great team and we showed the world it's not Burrowhead out here.

  6. Three points againpublished at 03:08 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 20-23 Kansas City Chiefs

That's now Joe Burrow 3-1 Patrick Mahomes as the Chiefs finally end their losing streak against the Bengals.

All four of these games have been decided by three points though - all of them thrillers, and the best thing is we'll see this fixture a few more times over the next few years.

  7. Game over - Chiefs win!published at 03:04 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 20-23 Kansas City Chiefs

What a finish! That Patrick Mahomes run, that penalty, and that Harrison Butker field goal sees the Chiefs pinch it right at the very end as the Chiefs book their third Super Bowl appearance in the last four years, where they'll face the Philadelphia Eagles.

  8. field goal

Field goal - Chiefspublished at 03:02 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 20-23 Kansas City Chiefs

Harrison Butker makes it! He drills the 45-yarder right through the middle and the Chiefs are almost there - with just three seconds left on the clock.

    The Bengals need a miracle...

  9. Mahomes on the movepublished at 03:01 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 20-20 Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes takes off, running on that injured ankle, sucking up every ounce of pain as he races for the first down marker, where the Bengals' Joseph Ossai comes across and pushes him when he's already out of bounds - and that's a penalty!

15 extra yards means it's a 45-yard field goal coming in for the Chiefs to win it!

  10. 21 seconds to go...published at 02:58 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 20-20 Kansas City Chiefs

OK, sit rep, we reckon the Chiefs need about 12 yards for a makeable field goal for Harrison Butker, no timeouts left and 21 seconds left on the clock.

We thought this one would be close....

  11. Great returnpublished at 02:57 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 20-20 Kansas City Chiefs

Skyy Moore takes the punt back 27 yards to around midfield, and now Mahomes won't have to get too many yards to set-up a field goal attempt.

    How's your nerves?

  12. Sack - Jones gets homepublished at 02:56 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 20-20 Kansas City Chiefs

Chris Jones gets Burrow down! On third down that's yet another huge play, yet another momentum swing, and now with 41 seconds left to play Patrick Mahomes is going to get the ball back and perhaps one last chance!

  13. 'That is a poor job'published at 02:55 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 20-20 Kansas City Chiefs

Former NFL quarterback Tony Romo on CBS: "That is a really poor job, that is on the outside corner. They brought him he turns his back on the quick out and doesn't help on the out by Hurst."

  14. First down!published at 02:53 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 20-20 Kansas City Chiefs

How in the world is tight end Hayden Hurst wide open for an easy throw for Burrow to make and get them a first down with just under a minute left.

  15. Huge flag!published at 02:52 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 20-20 Kansas City Chiefs

Joe Burrow throws the ball into the dirt under pressure and with no receivers in the area that's an international grounding penalty against the Bengals that backs them up to their own 10 and brings up third down.

  16. Two minutes to gopublished at 02:48 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 20-20 Kansas City Chiefs

We're at the two minute warning, tied game, with a place in the Super Bowl on the line - this is the stuff of legend, and the stage is set for Joe Burrow to drive down the field and win this game.

Can he do it? They may just need a field goal to do it.

  17. Burrow gets a chance to win itpublished at 02:46 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

After some deliberation, Zac Taylor declines a KC penalty so the Chiefs have to punt it - with Tommy Townsend booting it to the Cincinnati seven.

Now Joe Burrow is right where he wants to be, with the ball, and the game, in his hands.

  18. Pacheco powers uppublished at 02:42 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 20-20 Kansas City Chiefs

Isiah Pacheco runs like a man possessed in the regular season, in the play-offs he's turning the intensity up even further.

He's one step of morphing into the hulk on this last play, taking a short pass and what should be a short loss into a big game by simply mowing down tacklers.

  19. 'Someone has to help Mahomes'published at 02:41 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 20-20 Kansas City Chiefs

Former NFL quarterback Tony Romo on CBS: "Someone has to help Mahomes a little bit. They don't have the guys on the outside at the moment, maybe they can bring the screen game back."

  20. Turnover - Burrow interception!published at 02:40 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 20-20 Kansas City Chiefs

Talk about teamwork, Bryan Cook is in coverage and gets his hand on the ball to tip it up, and it's caught by fellow rookie Joshua Williams as Joe Burrow went deep again.

Could that be a game changer? Mahomes is still struggling with this ankle, and he's missing a few of his first-choice receivers too.

And we're down to the last five minutes of the AFC Championship!
