Watch out for the coin toss tonight, especially if Brandon Graham is out there for the Eagles, as his trash talk against the Giants was brilliantly caught by NFL Films.

Let's see how the 49ers react if Graham starts this again tonight.

  3. Can Purdy make history?published at 19:56 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

Brock Purdy is looking to become the first rookie QB to make the Super Bowl, but he's got the toughest possible test against this Eagles defence.

The only other rookie QBs to make the Conference title game all lost - can Purdy succeed where Mark Sanchez (2009) Joe Flacco (2008) Ben Roethlisberger (2004) and Shaun King (199) all failed?

    • This is the first time in NFL history that all four teams in the Conference Championships have 14-plus wins coming into the game.
    • San Francisco led the league in allowing just 16.3 points per game, and are looking to become the fourth team in the last decade to lead the league in defence and make the Super Bowl.
    • The Eagles led the league with 70 sacks, tied for the third-most ever by a team in a single season.
    • Kansas City led the league in both total offence (413.6 yards per game) and scoring offence (29.2 points per game) and can become the fourth team in 10 years to lead the NFL in total offence and make the Super Bowl.
    • If the Eagles and Chiefs both win it'd be the14th time since the NFL began seeding teams in 1975 that both top seeds made the Super Bowl.
    • Cincinnati can become the first team since the NFL began seeding to defeat the No.1 seed in its conference in consecutive post-seasons, and the second team ever to win two road play-off games in consecutive seasons, joining the 2009-10 New York Jets.

It's the irresistible force meets the immovable object with the San Francisco 49ers' defence going head-on against the Philadelphia Eagles attack.

These big games are won and lost in the trenches, and these two lines will collide like giants in this game - watch the first series for each which will set the tone.

In the NFC, the Niners have the top total and points allowed defence while the Eagles have the best total and points scored offence - something's got to give!

  13. 'He looks good' - Reid has no worries over Mahomespublished at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals @ Kansas City Chiefs (23:30 GMT)

Patrick Mahomes' injured ankle has been the talk of the week, but head coach Andy Reid doesn't have too many concerns about him playing.

"He looks good," Reid said Friday. "I mean, he's moving around good. He's going to go out and play."

And Mahomes talked about how his sprained ankle could change his style of play.

"I feel like I can still do a lot of things," he said. "We'll see as we get closer and closer, and we'll see during the game.

"You can't fully do exactly what you're going to be doing in those moments in the game, but all I can do is prepare myself the best way possible and then when we get in the game, you hope adrenaline kind of takes over."

  15. Plays of the Weekpublished at 19:34 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

Quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts star in the best plays from last Saturday's NFL divisional play-off games as the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles both triumphed.

Find out who makes the Super Bowl tonight

    And then there were four...

And what can we say about these match-ups? The four best teams are right here (although the Buffalo Bills could argue about that) and there is simply no bad Super Bowl match-up possible between this lot.

In the AFC we've got a rematch of last year's game, with Patrick Mahomes looking for revenge against Joe Burrow - who is 3-0 against the Chiefs!

But up first is the NFC title game where the top defence in the game in the San Francisco 49ers goes up against the top offence in the NFL in the Philadelphia Eagles.

    Here's the line-up:

    • San Francisco 49ers @ Philadelphia Eagles (20:00 GMT)
    • Cincinnati Bengals @ Kansas City Chiefs (23:30 GMT)
