The Chiefs get the ball from the second-half kick-off but not for long as it's a quick three-and-out and they have to kick it right back to the Bengals, who moved the ball with ease on that final drive of the first-half.

Cincinnati Bengals 6-13 Kansas City Chiefs

Two shots at the end zone come to nothing, and with time running out they have to turn to Evan McPherson to kick over a 23-yard field goal to cut the gap down to just seven.

It's the Tee Higgins show on this drive as another big catch from No.85 of the Bengals puts them on the five-yard line in the dying seconds of the half.

That penalty flag seems to have given the Bengals a huge boost as they're moving the ball quickly down field now and into Chiefs territory inside the final minute.

Cincinnati looking to score points here just before the break.

The Chiefs look to have an interception, but a flash of yellow flutters down onto the field and it's a flag against Bryan Cook who got there just a beat too early on the tackle and that takes all the pressure off the Bengals.

Huge call, probably the right one, just!

KC have to punt after Mahomes can't hit his target, but punter Tommy Townsend sticks a nice kick in that goes out of bounds and the Cincy four, so they'll be backed right up when they come back on the field.

Joe Burrow throws an interception on third down as he's under pressure again, lobbing a ball up at Tee Higgins but Jaylen Watson shows a nice leap to snatch it from right in front of him.

That could be a huge turnover with just a couple minutes left in the half if the Chiefs can get some points from it - as they receive the second-half kick-off too.

JuJu Smith-Schuster makes a nice first down catch but his fellow double-barrelled receiver Maquez Valdes-Scantling goes one better with a first down catch followed by a big 29-yard gain down the middle to get the Chiefs into the red zone.

That's a rare red zone stop from the Chiefs, who were 31st out of 32 in red zone defence during the season, so they need to have Evan McPherson boot a 30-yard field goal.

Burrow almost threw a touchdown, with a wonderful ball over to tight end Hayden Hurst, but he just can't haul it in.

It's Boyd again down the middle for 24 yards this time as Joe Burrow just starts to heat up here and use this array of receiving talent he's got at his disposal.

Third-and-14 converted superbly by Joe Burrow who has a rare bit of time to sound out his options before throwing a dart to Tyler Boyd.

Sack number four! The Bengals have done a good job getting the ball out of Burrow's hands quickly here for a couple of first down, but when he's targets are covered here then rookie George Karlaftis manages to drag him down again.
