  1. field goal

Just a simple chip shot from 24 yards for Harrison Butker to double KC's lead, but it's only 6-0 after a pretty dominant start so ironically the Bengals will probably feel better about the score right now than the Chiefs.

  2. End of the first quarterpublished at 00:16 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 0-3 Kansas City Chiefs

Another strike from Mahomes to Kelce - and almost another lateral from Kelce as he definitely thought about it before just taking the tackle.

The clock hits zeroes so we'll take a breath and come back in the second quarter with Harrison Butker lining up a field goal.

  3. TD ruled outpublished at 00:13 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 0-3 Kansas City Chiefs

Isiah Pacheco bursts into the end zone but that TD is coming back for a holding penalty on Andrew Wylie - which also erases a lovely diving celebration from Pacheco. Shame.

  4. Trick playpublished at 00:11 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 0-3 Kansas City Chiefs

Travis Kelce is wide open, but when he catches the ball he then laterals it off to Jerick McKinnon! The ball's low and McKinnon does well to gather at the second attempt but that's a crazy play to be pulled out of the playbook in the first quarter!

  6. Ankle watchpublished at 00:07 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 0-3 Kansas City Chiefs

Mahomes goes for a wander for the first time in this game and although it's not exactly a smooth run out there he's pretty effective and manages to get a throw away wot Noah Gray and a solid tester for the ankle.

  7. Sackpublished at 00:02 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Again! Two plays running Burrow goes down, and it's finally a play-off sack for Chris Jones - who had 15.5 sacks in the regular season and is one of the best around but he'd never had a post-season sack before tonight after 13 games!

  8. Sackpublished at 00:01 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 0-3 Kansas City Chiefs

Burrow goes down again! This time it's Willie Gay who helps out Frank Clark as they both get their hands on the QB to drag him down and set-up a long third down.

  9. field goal

Field goal - Chiefspublished at 23:58 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 0-3 Kansas City Chiefs

It's no joke kicking these American footballs in cold weather like this, but Harrison Butker smacks a 43-yarder through the uprights to put the Chiefs ahead.

  10. Call stands!published at 23:57 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 0-0 Kansas City Chiefs

Yep, just as I thought, the ball moves as Toney hits the ground so KC will have to attempt a field goal.

  11. Touchdown?published at 23:55 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 0-0 Kansas City Chiefs

Mahomes floats a rainbow into the end zone for Kadarius Toney, who takes a diving catch, but it's ruled incomplete by the officials - even though the closest ref can't really see from his angle.

Andy Reid challenges but it looks like the ball moves as he hits the floor so I'd be amazed if they overturn this one.

It's quite similar to the Davonta Smith catch earlier, which was given on the field.

  12. Can't cover Kelcepublished at 23:51 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 0-0 Kansas City Chiefs

It almost seems like Travis Kelce is invisible sometimes as he just gets open with ease so often, as he does here for 16 yards to move the sticks on an relatively easy completion for Mahomes to make.

He had 14 catches last week...

  13. Sackpublished at 23:49 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 0-0 Kansas City Chiefs

Down goes Joe Burrow at the second attempt after he just wriggled out of one sack, but Frank Clark won't miss and he doesn't as he wraps up Burrow and get shim down, almost in a DDT for those wrestling fans out there among you.

  15. Postpublished at 23:47 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 0-0 Kansas City Chiefs

Oh that looks nasty for L'Jarius Sneed who makes the tackle on Samaje Perine but stays down after a heavy fall and he's helped off the field. Hopefully nothing too serious.

  16. Double Chasepublished at 23:43 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 0-0 Kansas City Chiefs

Ja'Marr Chase has a superb record against the Chiefs and he catches the first two passes of the game to get a first down. Burrow almost throws an interception on the next play though.

  17. Kick-offpublished at 23:41 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals 0-0 Kansas City Chiefs

KC kick off so we'll get Joe Burrow on the field first at the re-named Burrowhead Stadium, let's see how he gets on at his adopted home.

After last season's epic play-off shootout between Kansas City and the Buffalo Bills, many predicted Patrick Mahomes v Josh Allen would be a quarterback rivalry for years to come in the AFC.

The following week, Joe Burrow reminded everyone that there's another man in town, helping the Bengals to upset the Chiefs and make a surprise Super Bowl appearance.

Now, gonna shock you here, but there are actually some all-time quarterback stats where Tom Brady doesn't feature in the top five.

But guess who does... yep, Mahomes and Burrow are two of only five QBs to have a career passer rating of more than 100. They're also in the top three for highest average passing yards per game, with Mahomes the all-time leader (303) and Burrow third (280.3).

Safe to say we should expect some aerial action tonight, but which of these gunslingers is going to come out on top?

  20. Bengals prove last year's Super Bowl run was no flukepublished at 23:36 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

Cincinnati Bengals @ Kansas City Chiefs (23:30 GMT)

Just two years after finishing the season with the worst record in the NFL, the Cincinnati Bengals produced a shock by reaching last year's Super Bowl.

They offered quarterback Joe Burrow greater protection and it paid dividends as the second-year showed exactly why the Bengals selected him with the first overall draft pick in 2020, striking up a devastating partnership with receiver Ja'Marr Chase.

And this year Cincy proved it was no fluke. They bolstered their offensive line again, giving 'Joe Cool' even more time to pick his passes from the pocket, and Chase and Tee Higgins again had more than 1,000 receiving yards.

They won their last eight games of the regular season to finish with a 12-4 record and win the AFC North division again.
