  1. Sackpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Philadelphia Eagles

Welcome to the game Josh Johnson - Haason Reddick slams him into the ground for the sack, and almost a fumble, which is followed by a delay of game as the wheels are just tumbling off for the Niners right now.

  2. Purdy out!published at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Philadelphia Eagles

Brock Purdy remains on the sidelines with that injury so back-up Josh Johnson comes onto the field - what a turn of events here!

Johnson is a 13-team journeyman and is now San Francisco's fourth QB of the season, not exactly what you want in the NFC title game.

  3. 'Big time hold'published at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Philadelphia Eagles

Greg Olsen, former NFL tight end, on Fox Sports: “That’s a big-time hold there for this San Francisco front.”

  4. Eagles puntpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Philadelphia Eagles

Nice stand from the Niners defence, but on the sidelines Purdy is getting his right wrist looked at after that big hot from Reddick for the fumble.

The young rookie will have to show some character as he comes back on the field now.

  6. Turnoverpublished at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Philadelphia Eagles

A fumble it is! That's huge, Purdy has been safe as houses in the play-offs so far but that early turnover will be a big deal for him to get over.

Not to mention the Eagles have the chance to go and double their lead now.

  7. Looks like a fumblepublished at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Philadelphia Eagles

Haason Reddick gets to Brock Purdy and knocks the ball out before the QB then knocks the ball forwards for it to be picked up by the Eagles.

The Eagles have challenged the call and this looks like a fumble and will mean a huge turnover.

  8. Rookie Purdy on the fieldpublished at 20:23 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Philadelphia Eagles

Purdy completes his first pass of the game, before Christian McCaffrey gets the first down at the second attempt. It's pretty loud at the Linc, but as many have said, it's more of a hostile atmosphere than one that's loudest in the league. The Eagles fans won't have been happy with Deebo Samuel pointing that out during the week though...

  9. Niners aiming for Pats recordpublished at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers @ Philadelphia Eagles (20:00 GMT)

The San Francisco 49ers are aiming to make the Super Bowl for the second time in four years and the eighth time in their history.

The Niners have 36 play-off wins in total - tied with three other storied teams in the NFL and just one behind the New England Patriots at the top of the all-time standings.

    Team wins in the play-offs:

    • New England 37 (6 Super Bowl wins)
    • Pittsburgh 36 (6 Super Bowl wins)
    • Dallas 36 (5 Super Bowl wins)
    • San Francisco 36 (5 Super Bowl wins)
    • Green Bay 36 (4 Super Bowl wins)
  10. Postpublished at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers 0-0 Philadelphia Eagles

Former Super Bowl MVP quarterback Kurt Warner: That one was easy right there but the whole drive wasn't even. A couple of big plays on third and fourth down, one to AJ Brown and one to DeVonta Smith made that drive go.

  11. Not a catch?published at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Philadelphia Eagles

No wonder Smith got up quickly after making that catch to tell Philly to line up for the next play, it looks like he bobbled the ball on the ground so wouldn't have been a catch had the 49ers challenged.

    Could be huge!

  12. touchdown

Touchdown - Eaglespublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Philadelphia Eagles

Easy as you like for Miles Sanders as he just walks through a huge hole in the middle to score the opening touchdown of the game.

What a drive that was, what a decision to go for it on fourth down and what a catch from Smith to set up that touchdown - when it looked like the drive could stall a couple of times.

That's a statement if even I've seen one.

  13. What a catch!published at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers 0-0 Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles go for it on fourth-and-three and Hurts goes for it all with a deep throw that Davonta Smith sticks up an arm and takes a brilliant one-handed diving catch right on the left sideline!

  14. 'I believe you can spread the 49ers defence'published at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers 0-0 Philadelphia Eagles

Former Super Bowl MVP quarterback Kurt Warner: Spread them out, that is one of things I believe you can do this to San Francisco defence. Just spread them out as you saw with the four wide receivers.

  15. First down!published at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers 0-0 Philadelphia Eagles

Hurts is almost sacked on third down, he's almost picked off on third down with the throw, but he completes the pass to AJ Brown on third down to move the chains impressively.

Can't even imagine what it's like when these 49ers blitz you!

  16. Postpublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers 0-0 Philadelphia Eagles

You know, just for a second I thought Jalen Hurts was going to take on a defender on the outside but he wisely goes out of bounds after performing a nice escape act from what looked a likely sack.

  17. ouch!

    Ouch!published at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers 0-0 Philadelphia Eagles

Fred Warner goes down for the 49ers and that could be a huge a blow early on for the visitors! Linebacker Warner is the leader of this defence and also the defensive play-caller, this is a huge worry.

  18. First downpublished at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers 0-0 Philadelphia Eagles

A pass and a run and a first down - pretty simple start from the Eagles showing they can pound the rock but also throw it about.

  19. Here comes Hurtspublished at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers 0-0 Philadelphia Eagles

Nice return from Boston Scott as the Eagles get the ball first - bit of a scrum at the end of the play - these two are pumped for this one!

  20. College epicpublished at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers @ Philadelphia Eagles (20:00 GMT)

Brock Purdy and Jalen Hurts have met before, once in college when they both put on an absolute clinic in a thrilling match-up between Oklahoma Sooners and Iowa State Hurricanes.

Purdy led an incredible Iowa State comeback but just fell short when they went for two on the last play to go for the win over a simple tie, so ended up losing 42-41.

    More of that tonight please!
