Frustration for the Lions as the Bucs are hanging around and just will not let go of this one - Baker Mayfield in particular is digging deep to pull out all the stops.

How many times can they keep responding though? Or how many times can the Lions get their noses in front?

Just 15 minutes left to see who'll go to San Francisco to fight for a place in the Super Bowl.

What a response – the Lions score on a long drive, so the Bucs score on a long drive.

  3. touchdown

Touchdown - Buccaneers!published at 22:26 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 17-17 Detroit Lions

Baker Mayfield makes another big play to tight end Cade Otton to get the Bucs within range.

And after a couple of incomplete passes, he chucks it sideways to Rachaad White, who has a lane to ease into the end zone and cap a 75-yard drive with a 12-yard score.

However, turns out that the previous play should have been a sack rather than an incomplete pass. Mayfield tried to get away from Tyson Alualu and threw the ball as he was going down, but replays show the quarterback's calf was down before the ball left his hand.

It looks like Baker Mayfield is sacked as he's crowded out just short of halfway. He then back pedals away from traffic and lets fly, and it seems he's just chucking it away.

But it's actually towards Cade Otton on the sideline, and he taps his toes inbounds for a first down. The Bucs are into the hosts' half.

  5. 'Great drive from the Lions'published at 22:16 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

That was just a great drive for Goff and the Lions. Great play calling, great execution. I kind of feel sorry for Tampa because they were just chasing their tails.

  6. touchdown

Touchdown - Lions!published at 22:15 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10-17 Detroit Lions

The Lions get within a yard and there's no need for a tush push or a brotherly shove here.

Jared Goff hands it off to running back Craig Reynolds, who crashes into the end zone before celebrating with some moves the Motown singers from back in the day would be proud of.

Impressive 64-yard drive from Detroit, featuring 10 plays and lasting more than four minutes, to get back in front at Ford Field.

  7. Lions within rangepublished at 22:10 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10-10 Detroit Lions

Now we're cooking. Detroit edge into the red zone before Jared Goff picks out wide receiver Amon-Ra St Brown on a crossing route. He tries to sneak into the corner but is bundled out of bounds five yards short.

  8. Lions move the stickspublished at 22:06 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10-10 Detroit Lions

It looks like tight end Brock Wright is lining up to block for Detroit but then turns around to take a short pass from Jared Goff. He has space to run into and trundles downfield for 29 yards.

That's the longest play of the game for either team and gets the Lions into Tampa Bay territory.

  9. 'Both QBs struggling right now'published at 22:01 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10-10 Detroit Lions

They are definitely both struggling right now [Goff and Mayfield] and I think you should give credit to the defensive lines. This was expected to be a shootout – people were expecting points. 17 points might win this game, 20 certainly will.

  10. Bucs puntpublished at 21:59 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10-10 Detroit Lions

Defences are firmly on top here. After two incomplete passes by Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay go three-and-out and have to boot it away after barely a minute in possession.

  11. Lions puntpublished at 21:57 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10-10 Detroit Lions

Jared Goff picks out Josh Reynolds for a big gain but it's called back for an illegal block by Lions running back David Montgomery.

Detroit can't convert on third and long so swiftly have to punt it back.

  12. Sack - Hutchinson gets throughpublished at 21:49 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10-10 Detroit Lions

Running back Rachaad White gets the Bucs rolling, but then Detroit's defensive star Aidan Hutchinson has a free run at Baker Mayfield and absolutely clatters the Tampa Bay quarterback for a sack.

It's a wonder he managed to hang on to the ball, so at least the Bucs can punt it rather than scrambling around trying to recover a fumble.

  13. Postpublished at 21:46 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

We're back under way in Detroit, with Baker Mayfield getting the ball first in the third quarter.

  14. Mayfield taking big shotspublished at 21:40 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10-10 Detroit Lions

Ndamukong Suh, 2021 Super Bowl winner, on Sky Sports: "I love what Baker Mayfield is doing now. Their offence is taking big shots and it is keeping them in the game right now."

  15. Who wins?published at 21:40 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10-10 Detroit Lions

A good start for the Lions - a better finish by the Bucs just about sums up the game in that first half.

Tampa Bay have outgained Detroit 233-134 in yards, they've also had 11 first downs to Detroit's 10 and despite committing the only turnover of the game the Bucs are level.

Who wins from here? Thumbs up for the hometown Lions or thumbs down for the visiting Bucs.

  16. HT - Bucs level it up latepublished at 21:30 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Just like their season, Tampa Bay came with a late run to make sure they go in level with Detroit at the half.

The Lions had been largely on top, but that closing 92-yard drive led by Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans came out of nowhere, and has put a completely different slant on this contest.

A couple of mistakes from Detroit's defence, and an injury scare for their centre, and all of a sudden instead of going in ahead, Lions fans are a bit subdued and concerned that their dream of a spot in the NFC title game may be in jeopardy.

Plus, Tampa Bay get the ball first in the second half...

  17. touchdown

Touchdown - Bucs!published at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10-10 Detroit Lions

Baker Mayfield just lofts a nice pass into the back of the end zone and tight end Cade Otton is all alone to catch it on the run to tie it up!

Chris Godwin caused problems as he ran into the crowd on a pick play, and that left Otton with acres to gallop into to collect his fifth TD of the season.

That came out of almost nothing as the Bucs had been ambling slightly and faced a long field but Mayfield drove them 92 yards in just seven plays and a minute and 13 seconds.

  18. Good Evans!published at 21:21 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-10 Detroit Lions

He's had a few drops but Mike Evans catches this one after a blown assignment for a 27-yard gain.

BUT even better is to come as Evans then takes a sliding catch right down on the one-yard line after a beautiful rainbow thrown by Baker Mayfield.

Just 19 seconds left but the Bucs will fancy a touchdown here.

  19. Baker burstpublished at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-10 Detroit Lions

Baker Mayfield takes over up the middle for 14 yards and the Bucs take a timeout with 35 seconds left as they look to try and squeeze some points out of this half.

They're just inside their own half so they can either take a big shot downfield or look for a couple of quick pick-ups to set-up a field goal.

  20. Big puntpublished at 21:17 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-10 Detroit Lions

Jack Fox hammers the punt as Detroit have to kick it away and that boot leads to the Bucs taking over back on their own seven.
