  1. Sack!published at 21:16 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-10 Detroit Lions

Jared Goff goes down when sacked by Calijah Kancey in a big crowd in the pocket, but even worse for the Lions is centre Frank Ragnow is down and looking like he's been hurt on that play.

You don't see or hear too much about centres, Jason Kelce apart, but they're absolutely crucial for now only their partnership with snapping the ball tot he quarterback, but also in picking out blocking assignments and also in protection.

Ragnow is among the best in the league as well as a three-time Pro Bowler so Detroit will desperate to find out how he is.

  2. Two-minute warningpublished at 21:11 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-10 Detroit Lions

Detriot have two minutes to add to their lead after getting decent field position from the long missed field goal.

Doink! No goodpublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-10 Detroit Lions

Ouch! Chase McLaughlin lines up a 50-yarder, but it's always just veering off to the left and the Bucs hear the dreaded 'doink' as the ball smacks the left upright.

That's a big blow after a promising drive stalled when Chris Godwin just couldn't get his hands up quick enough to snaffle a Baker Mayfield fast ball on a slant.

Mayfield put some serious heat on that pass - probably too much as it wasn't a long throw, but it was an important one.

  4. First downpublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-10 Detroit Lions

Possibly the worst sight Baker Mayfield could see tonight is Aidan Hutchinson charging him down unblocked, but luckily he gets the ball out of his hands quickly to avoid being mauled by the Lions' defensive star.

Rachaad White takes the catch, makes a nice move and gets the first down - but takes a big and slightly unnecessary hit as he's going down for his trouble.

That's a real tough drop for Amon-Ra St Brown. He's been one of the best receivers in the NFL, one of the most reliable targets.

Jared Goff couldn't have put it in a better spot. But St Brown knows he's going to get hit so it's the proverbial hearing footsteps, when you think 'someone's waiting for me and they're going to put their helmet right into my ribs'. That must've been what happened, but you're there for a reason.

The Lions would've been rolling but that's a big stop for Tampa Bay because Jared Goff's starting to cook a little bit.

  6. St Brown droppublished at 20:57 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-10 Detroit Lions

Big drop over the middle, and a rare one from Amon-Ra St Brown - who maybe spotted the Bucs defender lining him up for a big hit had he caught it...

St Brown had 110 yards on seven catches last week, making it 10 100-yard games this season, the most in the NFL, but he's caught just two balls for 13 yards so far.

Detroit punt it away after that drive stalls.

Sam LaPorta again with a nice 12-yard gain down the middle of the field as the rookie tight end shows his insane talent with a twitchy move off the line to get open.

LaPorta is playing with a bulky knee brace due to a bone bruise, but you wouldn't know it the way he dropped a shoulder and got off the line like a speedy slot receiver - not a big burly tight end.

  8. 'Goff making it look easy'published at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-10 Detroit Lions

Cris Collinsworth, former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver on NBC: "Goff feels so calm and he’s making easy decisions seem easy. He wasn’t always that way."

  9. Bucs puntpublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-10 Detroit Lions

Chase Edmonds has two goes at converting long third downs and each time comes within in inches of getting there.

Bucs head coach Todd Bowles is a defensive guy by nature, and profession, and he decides to punt it away.

  10. 'Goff won't dazzle you, but slow and steady can win the race'published at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-10 Detroit Lions

That was an impressive drive by Jared Goff. If you asked the average person listening at home, they'd think 'he's been through the wringer, he's 34 maybe'. He's 29, so he's got a lot of football ahead of him.

He had a clean game last week, hasn't been sacked today yet and doesn't have a pick or fumble.

You're not going to be dazzled by him, but slow and steady can win the race, if you've got the weapons around you. And Jared Goff doesn't put the ball on the ground and make mistakes.

  11. 'Goff is so confident'published at 20:43 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-10 Detroit Lions

Phoebe Shecter, former Buffalo Bills coach, on Sky Sports: "He is so great to watch. You see the way that he stands in the pocket. He is so confident and why wouldn’t you be when he’s got one of the best offensive lines. You know that eventually your receivers will get free if you hold onto it just that little bit longer."

Josh Reynolds catches a nine-yard pass from Jared Goff for the opening touchdown of this NFC Divisional Round contest.

Rookie tight end Sam LaPorta showed his importance to this team with Goff throwing three straight passes to him to move the chains.

LaPorta made two big catches on the drive of 13 and 15 yards, converting a third down with one and getting into the red zone with the other.

  13. End of the firstpublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-3 Detroit Lions

Nice first quarter that with plenty happening - the two sides look pretty evenly matched even though you'd probably just give the Lions the edge right now.

But it's all squared up and the Bucs have shown plenty to suggest they can be dangerous.

  14. Postpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-3 Detroit Lions

Rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs has all the skill, strength and speed to succeed as a running back, but he can also do the dirty work, as he just showed by picking up the blitz.

Part of the running back's job when his quarterback is looking to pas is to watch for late blitzes and try and get in their way somehow - Gibbs did more than that with a hefty hit on a surprise Bucs defender running through.

The Lions coaches will love that play.

  15. How we travel and shorter turnaround affect Bucs?published at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-3 Detroit Lions

    Greg Brady
NFL pundit on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

It's a good response off a turnover for Tampa Bay. Let's not forget that they had a late game Monday night and the Lions were the late game Sunday, so they had a little bit of extra rest.

If we talk about it in week three or week seven, then we certainly should talk about it on mid-January. It's a slight advantage for the Lions, and the Buccaneers had to travel too.

The Buccaneers are getting through those early jitters and they have to like where they are right now.

  16. Lions rookies roarpublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-3 Detroit Lions

Among the many weapons to watch out for in this Detroit side are rookies Sam LaPorta and Jahmyr Gibbs.

LaPorta set a rookie tight end record for catches (86) this season, and along with Gibbs the two became the first rookie duo ever to have 10 touchdowns each in their first season with the same team.

  17. Postpublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Jared Goff with a nice old-fashioned QB sneak to convert a third and inches. Remember this Bucs defence produced a rare stop of Philly's 'tush push' last week.

Mind you, nothing much worked for the Eagles last week.

  18. field goal

Field goal - Bucspublished at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-3 Detroit Lions

We're tied at three as Baker Mayfield takes off for a nice gain to give Chase McLaughlin a much easier shot at a 43-yard field goal to level things up.

A nice settler of a drive for Tampa Bay after the interception on their last possession. We're even and this looks like a good game in the making.

  19. Sack!published at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 0-3 Detroit Lions

Another slot blitz gets home, mainly due to Tampa running back Rachaad White falling over when he was the lone pass blocker.

That enables Brian Branch to come steaming through with band intentions and gets his hands on Mayfield for the second sack already for this Detroit defence.

  20. Evans holds onpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 0-3 Detroit Lions

All about Mike Evans here, as he's barged off a catch when Baker Mayfield first tries to find him, but they go right back to the 10-year veteran and this time he hangs on and gets his team across midfield.
