  1. 'Khushi has not put a foot wrong'published at 16:36 British Summer Time 27 April

    Durham 358 v Essex 237-2

    Glenn Speller
    BBC Essex sport

    Well batted Feroze Khushi.

He was dropped down the leg side on one but has not put a foot wrong since then apart from turning his back on a bouncer which thudded into his back. A couple of painkillers did the trick and three figures looked a certainty from that point on.

It is his second career Championship century and follows a brutal 50 against Lancashire last week.

This has looked ominous for Durham since the middle of the afternoon with absolutely nothing happening for their bowlers.

  2. Division Two updatepublished at 16:34 British Summer Time 27 April

Gloucestershire have lost two quick wickets and it's the duo that took them into the lead and have been looking to give them the upper hand in the contest against Middlesex that have departed.

Miles Hammond made 81 before being accounted for by Ethan Bamber and in the following over Graeme van Buuren was bowled by Josh de Caires for 75.

Their partnership was worth 118 and Glos currently lead by 32.

Derbyshire are 86-3 against Yorkshire as Wayne Madsen and Brooke Guest look to build a partnership that can give their team a chance of getting back into this contest.

Leicestershire and Northants are still off the field because of bad light.

  3. 50 runs

Half-century for Jake Libbypublished at 16:33 British Summer Time 27 April

    Somerset 309-9 dec, Worcestershire 106-1

Worcestershire vice-captain Jake Libby completes his third half-century in a row as the Pears go past the 100 at Chester Road.

Still 15 minutes to go to what is also a delayed tea in Kidderminster.

After the earlier delayed tea 16 miles up the A456 at Edgbaston, the unsettled weather has clearly caused teatime consternation all over the Midlands.

Not knowing when and where your next cup of tea is coming from could break a man!

Maybe the local corner shop had run out of Earl Grey?

  4. Century for Feroze Khushipublished at 16:33 British Summer Time 27 April

    Durham 358 v Essex 237-2

Feroze Khushi (Essex)Image source, Rex Features

Great knock from Feroze Khushi, who goes to a first-class century for only the second time in his career!

The 24-year-old on-drives Colin Ackermann to the boundary and punches the air in delight as he races down the track.

Khushi, who brings up three figures from 156 balls, previously made a ton against Kent at Canterbury two years ago.

  5. Postpublished at 16:30 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 359 v Hampshire 151 & 19-0

Solid start by Hampshire as they launch what you'd think will need to be a sizeable batting effort second time around.

They've added 19 from the first five overs after tea, with Ali Orr on five and Fletcha Middleton nine.

  6. Postpublished at 16:24 British Summer Time 27 April

    Durham 358 v Essex 226-2

Spinner Colin Ackermann, who sent down a maiden to close the afternoon session, is staying on after the restart as Durham continue to seek a breakthrough.

Ackermann's second over yields two runs to Nick Browne, who is now just two short of his 50 while Feroze Khushi is into the 90s.

  7. Bad light stops play at Edgbastonpublished at 16:22 British Summer Time 27 April

    Notts 400, Warwickshire 71-3

The Edgbaston Hover cover can be heard, which can only mean one thing in Birmingham.

This is still not the official tea interval - although it will be now they are coming off.

A good effort this from Dan Mousley (26) and Ed Barnard (18).

Much debate still, five years into his Bears career, of the correct prononciation of Mousley's name - as in the Alpine breakfast cereal, the district of Birmingham which once housed one of England's top rugby union clubs, or the small household rodent.

One of the commentary team, Mel Farrell, has actually branched out and favours something even more dramatic, by calling him Dangermouse. It might be a practical long-term solution to the three-way tussle over Dan's name!

  8. Hampshire start second inningspublished at 16:14 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 359 v Hampshire 151 & 2-0

Hampshire openers Ali Orr and Fletcha Middleton are out there to begin their side's second innings after tea, with a 208 deficit to overcome.

There are a scheduled 35 overs tonight and Orr takes two runs from the first of those, delivered by Kemar Roach.

  9. 'Hampshire need to focus their minds'published at 16:13 British Summer Time 27 April

    Tea: Surrey 359 v Hampshire 151

    Dan Whiting
    BBC Radio London

Hampshire need to regroup and focus their minds because they are starting to unravel a little bit.

  11. Delayed tea at Edgbastonpublished at 16:10 British Summer Time 27 April

    Notts 400, Warwickshire 62-3

Tea today was scheduled for 4.00.

    But it didn't happen!

On they go at Edgbaston, where the light is still fit and it's not raining. So why not?

The cucumber sandwiches, crumpets and cream horns must wait!

  12. 'Cook will be delighted'published at 16:10 British Summer Time 27 April

    Tea: Durham 358 v Essex 220-2

    Glenn Speller
    BBC Essex Sport

Essex go through the session without losing a wicket and without looking like losing one.

Stand-in skipper Sam Cook will be delighted with the efforts of Khushi and Browne but with the weather looking decidedly dodgy tomorrow it will be interesting to see if they try to move it on a bit quicker before the close.

  13. 50 runs

50 stand for Libby and Roderickpublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 27 April

    Somerset 309-9 dec, Worcestershire 74-1

Jake Libby (34) and Gareth Roderick (17) take their stand past the 50-mark at Chester Road, where they have responded well in this truncated session following the deparute of nightwatchman Adam Finch.

  14. Postpublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 27 April

    Somerset 309-9 dec, Worcestershire 67-1

Jake Libby and Gareth Roderick are shoring up the Worcestershire innings well in Kidderminster.

After the expected early loss of nightwatchman Adam Finch, Libby and Roderick have so far put on 44.

  15. 'A marvellous knock from Clark'published at 15:59 British Summer Time 27 April

    Tea: Surrey 359 v Hampshire 151

    Roland Butcher
Former Middlesex and England batter on BBC 5 Live Sport Extra

A special innings here by Jordan Clark on quite a difficult pitch at almost a run a ball.

That is significant in terms of the direction that this game is going.

He got a huge round of applause from the loyal Surrey supporters.

Ninety-six balls, 12 fours and two sixes. A marvellous knock.

  16. dropped catch

Dropped catch off Olly Stonepublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 27 April

    Notts 400, Warwickshire 56-3

Dan Mousley has a life on 15 as he is dropped in the slips by Calvin Harrison off Bears old boy Olly Stone.

"Almost the perfect bowling change" says Brian Halford in the BBC commentary box. "It was a brute of a delivery."

  17. Tea at Chester-le-Streetpublished at 15:57 British Summer Time 27 April

    Durham 358 v Essex 220-2

Very much Essex's afternoon, with Feroze Khushi and Nick Browne batting right through the session and extending their partnership to 126.

Khushi is 88 not out while Browne, recalled to the side for the first time this season, is also approaching a personal landmark on 46.

  18. Tea at the Oval - Surrey all outpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 359 v Hampshire 151

Finally, Hampshire wrap up the Surrey innings - and they can't have imagined it would take them this long after reducing the home side to 44-4 yesterday afternoon.

Dan Worrall's is the final wicket to fall, run out by Fletcha Middleton's throw to the non-striker's end as he came back for a second off Liam Dawson.

Jordan Clark finishes 106 not out and Hampshire will begin their second innings after tea with a deficit of 208.

  19. 50 runs

50 up for the Bearspublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 27 April

    Notts 400, Warwickshire 54-3

The Warwickshire recovery is in its infancy - but Ed Barnard and the naturally more aggressive have at least steered their side past 50.

Afte the loss of their in-form top three, they have rallied from 29-3 to 54-3, still a good way short of the 251 needed to avoid a follow-on.

And, after a quick light meter check from umpires Paul Pollard and Richard Kettleborough, and not long to go until tea, the return of Olly Stone to the Notts attack will not be welcomed too warmly.

  20. Century for Jordan Clarkpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 355-9 v Hampshire 151

Jordan Clark (Surrey)Image source, Getty Images

Another Surrey century - and Jordan Clark's knock has been well worth viewing!

Clark punches Brad Wheal down the ground for another four to bring up three figures from 96 balls.

It's the Surrey all-rounder's fourth first-class hundred and he's also helped to secure his side another batting bonus point, in tandem with last man Dan Worrall.
