  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:32 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February

    Bristol City 2-1 Middlesbrough

Another change from boss Michael Carrick for his Middlesbrough side.

Morgan Whittaker makes way for Marcus Forss.

    It's all Bristol City now.

These substitutes will have to work some real magic if the visitors are to drag themselves back into this one.

  2. 'Couple of soft goals'published at 21:31 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February

    Burnley 3-0 Sheffield Wednesday

    John Pearson
Former Sheffield Wednesday forward on BBC Radio Sheffield

He has run past two players to get hold of that ball.

We should have defended better, just letting him run through us for a simple tap in.

We were well organised but have just given a couple of soft goals away.

    Connor Roberts (70 mins)

Is that Burnley out of sight?

Two assists inside nine minutes for Jaidon Anthony, whose inviting cross is met by a firm Connor Roberts finish at the near post to give his side a three-goal cushion.

The third-placed side have been under pressure for much of this game, but all those defensive blocks - combined with ruthlessness in front of goal - ensure they're on course to move two points from the automatic promotion places.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:29 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February

    Bristol City 2-1 Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough replace Kelechi Iheanacho with Finn Azaz.

Boro's losing run is set to stretch to five matches and six losses in seven games. This is quite the rut they are finding themselves in.

  5. CLOSE!published at 21:29 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February

    Burnley 2-0 Sheffield Wednesday

A familiar pattern returns as Wednesday go close in between Burnley goals.

Shea Charles takes aim with a sweet right-footed shot from distance that is heading towards the right-hand corner of James Beadle's net before the goalkeeper turns the effort behind at full stretch.

  6. Postpublished at 21:28 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February

    Burnley 2-0 Sheffield Wednesday

    John Pearson
Former Sheffield Wednesday forward on BBC Radio Sheffield

We have played less well in all the games that we have won!

We have not played as well as we have in the last two games, and it looks like we are going to lose both of them.

  7. 'He timed his run to perfection'published at 21:22 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February

    Burnley 2-0 Sheffield Wednesday

    John Pearson
Former Sheffield Wednesday forward on BBC Radio Sheffield

The substitute who has only been on a couple of seconds, with his first touch has extended Burnley's lead.

What he did, down the right hand side, he stayed on side, he timed his run to perfection.

His pass is really great to the near post where he gets there first and gets his foot in.

  8. goal

GOAL: Bristol City 2-1 Middlesbroughpublished at 21:22 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February

    George Earthy (81 mins)

Bristol City and substitute George Earthy have turned this game around!

Boro concede another free-kick on the edge of the box, Scott Twine steps up and clatters it against the crossbar.

Earthy sprints onto the loose ball and slots it into and empty net.

Minutes after his first goal for the club, the West Ham loanee makes it a double.

I guess he's enjoying this scoring malarkey.

  9. goal

GOAL - Burnley 2-0 Sheffield Wednesdaypublished at 21:22 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February

    Josh Brownhill (62 mins)

Josh Brownhill scores the 50th goal of his career with his first touch - 48 seconds after coming on!

The captain came off the bench at Preston North End last Saturday after three games out, and now he celebrates his return from injury with a composed close-range finish from Jaidon Anthony's delivery as part of a slick, one-touch Burnley move on the right.

The midfielder and Lyle Foster had replaced Hannibal and Zian Flemming. Up in the stands, manager Scott Parker will be congratulating himself on an inspired change of personnel.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:22 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February

    Bristol City 1-1 Middlesbrough

Momentum is building for the home side and it's starting to put Boro on the ropes.

Jason Knight draws a foul from Hayden Hackney in a promising area, just outside the box, and the visiting midfielder picks up a yellow.

Luckily for Hackney though, Scott Twine hacks his shot and sends it too high.

  11. Substitutions turned game for Bristol Citypublished at 21:20 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February

    Bristol City 1-1 Middlesbrough

    Sophie Hurcom
    BBC Sport at Ashton Gate

Unsurprisingly, that goal has really lifted Ashton Gate with the crowd now bouncing with the belief Bristol City can now go on and win the game.

Every touch of the ball is being greeted with a massive cheer. The substitutions have really turned this game around for the hosts, bringing new life into their attack, as we approach the final 10 minutes of normal time.

  12. CLOSE!published at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February

    Burnley 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Burnley defender Maxime Esteve celebrates as if he's scored the winner after blocking Stuart Armstrong's shot behind in the latest golden opportunity for Wednesday.

Armstrong was teed up in front of goal by Josh Windass, who escaped down the left after Connor Roberts mistimed a sliding attempt to intercept the ball.

Only Plymouth Argyle, Luton Town and Derby County have been behind more times than Wednesday in the Championship this season, and only Sunderland can match the 17 points they've taken from losing positions.

The Owls are pushing to add to that record.

  13. goal

    George Earthy (71 mins)

A first Bristol City goal for George Earthy!

The substitutes create it as Yu Hirakawa pulls the ball back to Cam Pring.

Pring delivers the ball into the box and when Scott Twine can't connect, Earthy is there to nudge it in.

20 minutes for someone to find a winner!

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:13 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February

    Bristol City 0-1 Middlesbrough

Bristol City continue to create chances.

This time George Tanner loops in a cross for substitute Yu Hirakawa but the forward's header flies over.

The hosts then make another change as Nahki Wells is introduced for Sinclair Armstrong.

A decision perhaps not to Armstrong's liking as he has stern words with boss Liam Manning.

  15. CLOSE!published at 21:13 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February

    Burnley 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Brilliant from Djeidi Gassama, who charges down the right for Wednesday, twists inside and out to beat two men and fizzes in a low cross.

The ball eventually falls to Josh Windass at the far post, whose thumping effort over the bar from close range is initially greeted with cheers by the home fans.

Connor Roberts made a brave block to ensure it whistled over the target, though.

  16. Postpublished at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February

    Burnley 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Wednesday goalkeeper James Beadle has a scare, dropping a routine Connor Roberts cross from the right.

Hannibal thinks he can pounce but the 20-year-old Brighton & Hove Albion loanee manages to grab the ball.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February

    Bristol City 0-1 Middlesbrough

An attack for Middlesbrough becomes a dangerous counter-attack from the home side.

A super ball from Anis Mehmeti is played through to Sinclair Armstrong, who drives forward but shoots on an angle and sees his strike saved.

Shortly after boss Liam Manning makes some changes with Mehmeti, Haydon Roberts and Mark Sykes making way.

On comes Yu Hirakawa, George Earthy and Cam Pring, who has struggled with fitness and hasn't featured for the side since New Year's Day.

  18. KICK-OFFpublished at 21:05 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February

    Burnley 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Wednesday make a change before the action resumes at Turf Moor.

Former Burnley player Gabriel Otegbayo - who never made an appearance for the Clarets - replaces Marvin Johnson, who had been booked.

Max Lowe moves to the left and will be tasked with tracking scorer Marcus Edwards.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:00 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February

    Bristol City 0-1 Middlesbrough

Boro right-back Anfernee Dijksteel receives a booking for taking his time on a throw in.

Still more than 30 minutes to go!

Since the start of October, only fierce city rivals Sheffield United (eight) have eclipsed Wednesday's tally of seven Championship away wins.

You could see why during that half, but a lack of cutting edge let them down and Burnley took advantage with half-time closing in.
