To those suggesting Liverpool have not been that great this season, they are the 13th-best team in Premier League history after 30 games and only eight teams have taken more points at this stage in a season.

The Reds are also just the fifth team to record 73 points after 30 games. Arne Slot's side have also recorded the fifth-biggest lead after 30 Premier League games, sitting 11 points clear at the top of the table.

It is also unusual for a team to have a 10-point plus lead with points in the low 70s, but it is not unprecedented. Manchester United won a one-horse title race in 2000-01 (70 points with a 16-point lead) and Manchester City did the same in 2020-21 (71 points with a 11-point lead).

  4. Woeful Saints facing two unwanted recordspublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 6 April

    Tottenham v Southampton (14:00 BST)

    Southampton

Southampton could set two unwanted records today.

If they lose at Tottenham they are down and will become the first Premier League team to be relegated with as many as seven matches still to play.

Ipswich and Derby County currently jointly hold the record, after having their relegation confirmed with six fixtures left in 1994-95 and 2007-08 respectively.

Southampton are also trying to avoid having the lowest-ever points tally in a Premier League season.

The 2007-08 Derby team finished with 11 points - one point more than Saints have now.

Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou is looking more isolated than ever. Reports suggest Postecoglou is under severe pressure.

Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola, Fulham's Marco Silva and Brentford's Thomas Frank have all been linked with his job. Like Postecoglou, chairman and co-owner Daniel Levy has faced criticism from the fans.

But Levy has given the head coach resources to shape a squad - Postecoglou has spent £214.8m.

That extra spend was an attempt to salvage the season while alive in three cup competitions, but after elimination from the domestic cups, it is Europa League or bust.

What Arne Slot has done this season is incredible. Yes they have fallen out of the Champions League and FA Cup, and lost the League Cup final, but to put them in this position in the Premier League in his first season is incredible. He deserves a huge amount of praise.

Hundreds of Tottenham fans are taking part in a protest showing their anger at the club's board and owners and calling for chairman Daniel Levy "to get out of our club".

The demonstration is happening before Spurs' Premier League match at home to Southampton, with Ange Postecoglou's side 16th in the table after a disappointing campaign.

These protests were organised by the Change For Tottenham group, with fans able to buy flags and scarves, with profits from those sales donated to The Tottenham Food Bank and Noah's Children's Hospice.

"Time for change," was the message on the flags, while some scarves said 'Enough is enough, Enic Out!"

Included among the fans chants, were ones saying "we want Levy out," and "Daniel Levy, get out of our club". A third chant included the lines "we don't care about Levy, he don't care about me, all I care about is [Dejan] Kulusevski".
