  1. SL 117-1 (Dilshan 63, Sangakkara 47)published at 05:08 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Another steady over from Alasdair Evans, gives just two runs away here. But you sense Dilshan and Sangakkara aren't that bothered about a couple of quiet overs. Both playing well within themselves at the moment.

Here is my British & Irish Lions team:

Coetzer, Moeen, Joyce, Root, Balbirnie, K O'Brien, Buttler, Woakes, Davey, Cusack, Dockrell.

  3. SL 115-1 (run rate 5.00)published at 05:04 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Sangakkara shows a first real sign of aggression against the returning Josh Davey. Comes down the pitch and lofts a ball over the in field, which finally reaches the straight boundary after a long chase for the Scotland fielders. Captain Preston Mommsen is caught on camera letting out a big yawn. Surely he's not fed up of watching these two masters carve out a huge partnership?

  4. Name your British and Irish Lions teampublished at 05:03 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

A first suggestion here for a combined England, Scotland and Ireland team from this World Cup.

Oliver Jones: Coetzer, Stirling, Ali, Joyce, Niall O'Brien, Wilson, Machan, Balbirnie, Berrington, Davey, Cusack.

Just the one Englishman in that side. Hard to argue with the selection.

  5. SL 106-1 (Dilshan 59, Sangakkara 40)published at 05:00 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Alasdair Evans is back on for a second spell after four overs earlier, which included the wicket of Thirimanne. Nice bit of bounce off a decent length as he beats Dilshan's outside edge from an attempted cut.

Alan Morgan: Dilshan is a class act, fifty up, he can thread the ball through the eye of a needle.

  7. SL 104-1 (run rate 4.95)published at 04:55 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Up comes the Sri Lanka 100 as Sangakkara whips a ball away for four with a neat sweep off Coetzer. Seven easily added to the score.

  8. SL 97-1 (Dilshan 56, Sangakkara 34)published at 04:52 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Matthew Cross tries an audacious attempt at a catch behind the stumps as Dilshan gets down to dab sweep Michael Leask. It's just out of his diving reach as he shows good anticipation. Steady strike rotation from Dilshan and Sangakkara.

Ilyas Najib: Fingers, toes and legs crossed that Sanga can make it four in a row today.

  10. SL 89-1 (Dilshan 50, Sangakkara 32)published at 04:48 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Kyle Coetzer is on to bowl here with his medium pacers after that selection nod from Simon Mann. Dilshan picks up a single and reaches 50 off 54 balls with nine fours. It gets the approval of watching Sri Lanka legends Sanath Jayasuriya and Russel Arnold in the crowd. A rare moment of indecision from Sangakkara, who tries to push a quick single and almost runs himself out as a diving Matthew Cross comes round from behind the stumps to cut the ball off.

"Kyle Coetzer would definitely be a shout for the combined British & Irish Lions XI. He scored a brilliant hundred against Bangladesh."

  12. SL 86-1 (Dilshan 49, Sangakkara 30)published at 04:42 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Leask rattles through an over fairly quickly with his off breaks. Dilshan opens the face and collects a boundary down to third man, the first four for six overs and it takes him to within one of a half century. Time for drinks as Gangnam Style breaks out on the Bellerive Oval PA.

  13. SL 78-1 (Dilshan 43, Sangakkara 28)published at 04:38 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Dilshan swaps his helmet for a cap. Not something you see a lot these days when seam bowlers are on. Maybe a sign he thinks there's very little pace in this pitch. Just the one from Richie Berrington's latest over.

  14. SL 77-1 (Dilshan 42, Sangakkara 28)published at 04:35 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Michael Leask comes on to bowl his off breaks from the Church Street End for his first bit of action in this World Cup. A rare false shot from Dilshan who tries to cut him away, but only swings and misses. Talk on Test Match Special is who would make it in to a British and Irish Lions Cricket side from this World Cup? How many Englishman would get in? Let us know your thoughts in the usual way.....

  15. SL 73-1 (Dilshan 39, Sangakkara 27)published at 04:31 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

A push for a single out to deep extra cover right out of the middle of Sangakkara's bat brings up a 50 partnership from 55 balls. Effortless so far from these two as the rate hovers just under five-an-over.

  16. SL 68-1 (Dilshan 38, Sangakkara 23)published at 04:27 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

First bit of real control from Josh Davey, despite a wide in amongst his latest over. Dilshan and Sangakkara keep the score ticking over with some neat singles.

"England have won their last three Test matches so how relevant are appalling displays in ODIs when you go into a Test series? Having said that one takes note of what happened with Australia on their last tour of England when they sacked their coach two weeks before the first Test match and it turned out to be a good decision. Noone knows what is going to happen but there will be lots of serious discussions when they get home."

  18. SL 63-1 (run rate 4.84)published at 04:23 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Second bowling change for Scotland as Richie Berrington comes on with his right-arm medium pace. Calum MacLeod helps his bowler out with a diving stop at point as Dilshan tries to cut one away for four. A pumped-up Berrington stops the ball as Sangakkara tries to drive past him and throws down the stumps and has the left-hander scrambling back in to his ground. Easily safe though.

  19. SL 61-1 (Dilshan 35, Sangakkara 20)published at 04:19 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

More fantastic timing from Dilshan and it's another sublime extra cover drive for four from an over-pitched Josh Davey delivery. This pair trading textbook shots at the moment which looks ominous from a Scotland perspective.
