  1. SL 218-2 (Sangakkara 101, Jayawardene 2)published at 06:02 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

That partnership was worth 195 between Dilshan and Sangakkara. Dilshan's innings came to an end after 99 balls with 10 fours and a six. Just as Scotland think they're through the run-makers, in comes Mahela Jayawardene at four.

"I really like what Davey did there to Dilshan. He was smart enough to get the ball on leg stump. He is in the game to take wickets and that shows a man on the top of his game."

  3. WICKETpublished at 05:58 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

It's batting powerplay time and Josh Davey comes back on to bowl. Time for these two to really cash-in. Dilshan gets offered some width and gets four from a thick outside edge. But, next ball he tries to loft it over mid-off and can only find the fielder.

Antony Stewart: Four in a row for Kumar! Like my looks, Sangakkara just gets better with age.

  5. 100 for Kumar Sangakkarapublished at 05:53 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Another ball and another century. It's Kumar Sangakkara's turn and it's a record-breaking fourth ODI century in succession for Kumar Sangakkara. It's come from 86 balls with nine fours and three sixes.

  6. 100 for Dilshanpublished at 05:51 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

It's a race to 100 between these two. Sangakkara comes within three of his century as he paddles one away for four off Coetzer. Dilshan moves to 99 with a single to the leg side boundary. An uppish drive to cover takes Sangakkara to 99. Dilshan wins the race and gets to three figures off 97 balls with nine fours and a six.

  7. SL 201-1 (Dilshan 98, Sangakkara 93)published at 05:47 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Up comes the Sri Lanka 200 as Dilshan pushes a single off the returning Rob Taylor. Last 50 runs have come in just 35 balls. A rare quiet over with just two runs from it.

"Dilshan & Sangakkara are the first pair to have three consecutive partnerships over 100 in World Cup games following 210* v Bangladesh & 130 v Aus."

  9. SL 199-1 (Dilshan 97, Sangakkara 92)published at 05:42 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Kyle Coetzer returns with his medium pacers. Dilshan is ticking towards three figures here. Nice diving stop in the covers denies Sangakkara another four. Not for long though as he crashes one a bit wider of cover two balls later and he too is in to the 90s.

"Every shot comes out of the middle of his bat. Kumar Sangakkara really is something special."

  11. Six from Kumar Sangakkarapublished at 05:38 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Matt Machan bowls with a very round arm action. It looks all too appealing to Kumar Sangakkara as he smashes his third six with a big shot over deep square leg. A full toss from the final delivery of the over is smeared away for four. It flicks the fingertips of a diving fielder, but there was no chance of stopping that the pace it was travelling to the fence.

  12. SL 178-1 (Dilshan 92, Sangakkara 77)published at 05:33 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Dilshan dispenses with his helmet for a second time in his innings. Opts for no headwear at all this time. Another superb inside-out off drive from Sangakkara as he picks the gap through extra cover for four off Michael Leask. He's ticking at well over a run-a-ball now.

  13. SL 171-1 (run rate 5.90)published at 05:29 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Matt Machan becomes the seventh different bowler to be used by Scotland. It's fair to say he bowls very gentle off spin. Up comes the 150 partnership from 143 balls as Dilshan gently pushes a single to the leg side. They've almost split the runs down the middle these two, 74 from Dilshan, 72 from Sangakkara.

  15. Six from Kumar Sangakkarapublished at 05:24 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Run rate for the last five overs is more than 10-an-over and we've not even had the batting powerplay yet. Sangakkara is definitely not hanging around now. It's another six as this time Leask gets the treatment and is smashed over cover.

  16. Six from Kumar Sangakkarapublished at 05:21 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Dilshan, who has put his helmet back on after a few overs earlier in a cap, cuts away to the point boundary for four off Richie Berrington. Sangakkara picks up a first six of the day as he majestically lofts a drive over long-on and in to the first few rows of seating. Scotland having the heat turned up on them a notch by these two.

  18. 50 for Kumar Sangakkarapublished at 05:16 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Michael Leask returns for a second spell of his off breaks. It's half century time for Kumar Sangakkara from 56 balls with four fours. A nonchalant wave of his bat to the crowd and a look on his face which suggests he's far from done here. A fine shot from the left-hander follows through extra cover as he skips down the pitch.

  19. SL 134-1 (Dilshan 77, Sangakkara 48)published at 05:13 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Here we go, it's boundary time. Dilshan pulls out an impressive slog sweep and Josh Davey can only stand and watch as it crashes to the deep square leg boundary. Next ball - same result, four more to almost the same blade of grass. Goes a couple better the very next ball and gets six - the first of the day. Punishing cricket.
