Josh Davey believes Scotland can secure a maiden World Cup victory against either Sri Lanka this morning or co-hosts Australia in Hobart on Saturday.

Davey, who has taken 11 wickets so far in this tournament, hopes that the Scots can finally break their duck in their third tournament following appearances in 1999 and 2007.

"We are playing Australia in their own back yard and Sri Lanka have some of the best players in the world. We are not here just to compete but to put our name out and win these games," he said.

  7. Sri Lanka draft in Pererapublished at 03:21 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Sri Lanka will be without Dinesh Chandimal for the rest of the tournament, after the former T20 skipper picked up a hamstring injury during his 52 off 24 deliveries against Australia on Sunday.

Kusal Perera has been added to their World Cup squad as an injury replacement and comes in to their side for this match.

Perera, 24, has scored 839 runs in 41 one-day internationals, but was dropped after Sri Lanka's one-day series against England in December.

  10. The state of play in Pool Apublished at 03:15 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Sri Lanka have already qualified from Pool A after victories over England, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, while Scotland are booked on the plane home with England and Afghanistan after failing to win any of their opening four matches.

The two sides meet in Hobart with the fundamentals sorted, but a Sri Lanka win would see Angelo Mathews' side finish third in the group and condemn Bangladesh to a last-eight meeting with Pool B winners India.

If Sri Lanka do finish third, they will meet South Africa in the last eight as long as the Proteas complete their expected victory over the United Arab Emirates in Wellington on Thursday.
