Chris Sandford in UAE: Sanga, what a player, what a legend - the big question though is; will he score more runs in this tournament than England?

  3. Player viewpublished at 07:21 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Sri Lanka's Tillakaratne Dilshan who scored 104: "I am really enjoying it so far, I want to carry my form on for a few more games. It's a great experience to bat with Kumar, he's a great player and we've put on a lot of partnerships over the years. Hopefully we can have a few more and it will be good for the team. I am still enjoying my cricket and scoring runs so I'd like to carry on for a couple more years."

"Sangakkara and Dilshan were the stars of the innings, and stole the show. Sangakkara batted superbly and gave the crowd great joy. Scotland, however, managed to pull it back quite well at the end. The challenge for Scotland now is to negate Lasith Malinga. How will they play against him? They'd be best advised to just try and take him for three an over and target the other bowls."

  5. SL 363-9 (Kulasekara 18, Chameera 12)published at 07:17 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Rob Taylor gets the last over rather than Josh Davey, who bizarrely has only bowled eight of his allotted 10, during which time he's become the leading wicket-taker at the tournament. Chameera squeezes a clever four down to third man as he opens the face outside off from a half volley. That's it for this Sri Lanka innings as they set an extremely imposing total.

  6. SL 355-9 (Kulasekara 17, Chameera 5)published at 07:12 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Nuwan Kulasekara backs away and hammers four through the covers off Kyle Coetzer. That brings up the highest-ever ODI total at Bellerive Oval. He follows it up with a handsome straight six to take Sri Lanka past 350.

  7. Ouch!published at 07:09 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Richie Berrington takes a tumble in his follow through. Replays of his front foot landing on the crease appear to show the sole of his boot giving way on him. He looks in a bit of agony as he receives treatment and after some delay, he's off. Kyle Coetzer takes over.

  8. SL 342-9 (Evans 10-0-72-2)published at 07:05 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Alasdair Evans completes his 10 overs and takes two wickets for his efforts. Five runs added by the last pair.

  9. SL 337-9 (Berrington 6-0-30-2)published at 07:02 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Dushmantha Chameera is the last man in for Sri Lanka, who've fallen well short of where they looked like they'd be come the end of the 50 overs. Now, they might not even bat for that many.

"That's the type of shot you would expect from a number 10 but Sri Lanka have been pretty reckless in these last few overs. They were looking on course for 400 and Scotland will be delighted to have reined them in."

  11. WICKETpublished at 06:59 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Another one comes and goes late on in this Sri Lanka innings. It's Lasith Malinga this time. He tries to back away and smash it over point. Up it goes and Michael Leask takes the catch running back from the circle.

  13. SL 333-8 (Evans 9-0-67-2)published at 06:56 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Triple Nelson time for Sri Lanka, but it nearly wasn't as Kulasekara pushes a quick single in to the off side. A shy at the stumps and a direct hit was out, but the all-rounder survives.

  14. WICKETpublished at 06:53 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Another big swing and another catch in the deep. It's a third for Freddie Coleman and you have to give it to Scotland here for taking these catches late on. Prasanna tries to pull Evans away to the short boundary and Coleman dives forward to take the catch.

"Angelo Mathews scored the third fastest World Cup fifty off 20 balls. Five of the 8 fastest have come in this World Cup.

"Mathews is the first player to hit 6 sixes in his first 50 runs in a WC match.

"BB McCullum (NZ v Can 2007), L Klusener (SA v WI 2003) & M Boucher (SA v WI 2007) all hit 5 sixes in their first 50 runs in an innings."

"The good news for Scotland is that their awful policy of bowling full tosses on leg stump has paid off."

  20. WICKETpublished at 06:45 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Well I never. Machan persists with the same tactic, if you can call it that, and finally he gets his reward. Mathews looks for a fifth six of the over, but this time Freddie Coleman is picked out on the rope and he maintains his balance to take the catch.
