Sri Lanka keep pushing the singles, but Mathews nearly sells his partner down the river when he dabs Rashid straight to the fielder at short fine leg and runs anyway, Tharanga has to race to the crease but there's a slight fumble from Buttler as he drops the ball but breaks the stumps with his arm.

Dickie, Dorking: Came sliding in full pelt from long off in local Twenty20 game... lost the ball in the gloom and took it straight between the legs. Had to stay out for last two overs then go to hospital for ultrasound on the delicacies!  

As more of the crowd break out their waterproofs, Sri Lanka break the shackles as Tharanga finds the boundary for the first time with a (suitably agricultural for Bristol) clump through mid-wicket off Willey, who has 1-38 from eight.
