The game has moved on since I was last here. From the moment Shakib ran down the wicket it has been England's morning.

England have clearly come out with positive intent. Duckett takes a couple of steps and lofts Mehedi's first ball down the ground for two runs. It is the right approach. Digging in and patting back is a recipe for being dismissed for a low total on this track.

All the chat about spin, but regardless of the pitch, genuine quality will out. Well played Ben Stokes.
Calum Petrie, Stockholm, Sweden
Well, if England were after a trial by spin ahead of the tour of India, they certainly have one now. There are men all around the bat as Shakib probes away. Duckett prompts shouts of 'catch' as he prods forward but the ball drops short of short leg.

This is the 52nd Test played by Bangladesh at home and it's the 10th time both teams have been all out for under 300.

Another big shout from Mehedi as the ball hits Cook on the pad. The finger stays down. No review this time. If they'd not lost one already I suspect they'd have gone for that. It is a wise decision, though, as the replays show it would not have been overturned.

Mark H Dickens: The highs, the lows, you’ve gotta admire Ben Stokes. Proud to be British right now!
The video umpire gets more work to do to check on a run out as England attempt a quick single off Shakib. Cook was home at the striker's end, though. A two off the last ball makes it five runs off the over as the tourists look to be positive.

One consolation for Bangladesh, this is the lowest lead England have had over them. They have always been at least 77 or more ahead in the eight previous Tests they have played.

I did think Mushfiqur wasn't sure, he might have had doubts.

Every ball is an event in this match. Perhaps significantly, Bangladesh have used one of their reviews very early. One left for the next 79 overs.
Eng 5-0
Duckett is saved by height. The new ball was pretty straight but rising over the pins. And relax.
Eng 5-0
Another review! Mehedi is cut for four by Cook but after Duckett is brought to the striker's end, he plays forward and is flicked on the pad. Umpire Dharmasena says no, but Bangladesh go upstairs. This is going to be close.
Alastair Cook is taking his guard. He is going to be facing the spin of Mehedi Hasan first up.

Andy White: Meant to be going out for a run but the cricket is far more appealing!
There's some interesting chat from former England bowler Dominic Cork on Sky Sports. He says the pitch is breaking up rapidly and groundstaff are paranoid about anybody going near it for fear of it breaking up even more. Usually, with flat shoes on, commentators can walk on the pitch between play. Not in Chittagong it seems.
Ben Stokes this morning: Six overs, two maidens, three wickets for nine runs. Take a bow son.

Martyn Hearne: that period of reverse swing bowling by Stokes was reminiscent of Simon Jones at his very best, what a cricketer!
