Hopeful cheers from the crowd as short leg claims the ball off Stokes from the bowling of the whirling Taijul. It came off the all-rounder's pad, though. The home fans are silent as Stokes drops to one knee and paddle-sweeps away to fine leg for four. Slow, steady, assured progress from the tourists.
Mehedi continues to ask questions but England currently have the answers to keep him at bay.
The bloke with his parrot is back in the crowd. The two are conducting a bit of a PDA as well. But who am I to comment on the love of a man and his exotic bird?

Do you know a local sports volunteer who deserves some much-needed recognition?
There are just two days left (nominations close at midnight on Sunday, 23 October) to nominate them for the 2016 BBC Unsung Hero award.
Find out how to here.
Stokes 35, Bairstow 21
Taijul takes responsibility from the other end. Two men around the bat, along with a silly mid-off for Bairstow. Nothing too risky, safety first. Bairstow tries to sweep again but misses out this time.
Lead by 158
Kamrul was just a one-over seam punt before tea. Mehedi is straight back in after the break and immediately finds turn and bounce to remind Stokes of the challenge at hand. The home fans are whipping themselves up into a frenzy now. One group of shirtless lads jostle each other in a battle royale for camera time. Bairstow drops to one knee and ends the over with a swept four. 50 partnership up.
Ben Stokes collects his now dry gloves from the side of the pitch, shares a fist-bump with Jonny Bairstow and we are ready to go again.

Alex Russell: All these predictions seem to forget the pitch is deteriorating. First target 200 - anything above is a bonus for England.
Tom McDavid: Anything over a 200 run lead will really test the host's bottle. England still just about in the box seat.
Cheers Jamie.
I've got to say, I'm really looking forward to covering this last session. We've got two defiant batsmen steering their side towards 200 and beyond against a troop of spitting, twisting spinners on a pitch that is getting more and more like a Weetabix by the over.
There are 33 overs left today. 198 balls of superb, tense Test cricket.
England lead by 153
There's a positive note on which to hand to a caffeine-enhanced Phil Dawkes to describe the final session of another fabulous day of fluctuating Test cricket.

Simon Wilson: Not many runs have been scored all day, 10 wickets have fallen, tend to think 220 could be unassailable for England.
Rubin Caaarter: What is everyone worried about? Bairstow, Woakes, Rashid. 100 runs right there. We've got this.

If England get a lead around 210-220 they will be favourites, but don't take anything for granted.
My GCSE maths grade was less than impressive but here are the details of that session, which was another good one for England given the precious nature of runs on this wicket. There were 80 runs in 31.4 overs for the loss of Ballance and Moeen.

Jon Hare: If these two can bat until lunch tomorrow we may have a chance. You do have to love the pessimists.
Carl Carritt: Good grief. We have a tremendous Test match here and all I'm hearing are England fans moaning about the team or the batting.

That partnership was 46 but in the context of this match it feels like 100 on other grounds. In the last 30 mins the odd ball has turned but the ball is getting softer and the batsmen are acclimatised. It is such a good game. A good hour turns it around. Stokes was outstanding. He has been a really responsible senior man. England have just nudged ahead but nothing is decided yet.

Ben Young: Would be interesting to see total no. of runs scored by England's first 5 wickets compared to second 5 in the last 12 months?
Richard: Always doom and gloom when someone is out cheaply, maybe it's a tough pitch and Bangladesh are playing well at home. It's not over yet.
Eng 108-5 (Stokes 33, Bairstow 17)
Another milestone as the lead passes 150, a sweetly struck back foot punch from Bairstow off Taijul going for four after an ungainly sprawl in the outfield fails to stop the boundary. That will be tea and the England lead is 153. As you were and we will resume for the next instalment in 20 minutes.

You could easily nick one when a seam bowler comes on. This pair have played very well. Measured, playing the long game. But they are in a rhythm. That is going to change now. There is also that moment of minor triumph of making a team change tack and that leads to you relaxing a bit.
England lead by 149
The first over of seam as Shakib is given a rest after 20 overs unchanged but debutant Kamrul's first delivery of the innings is imperiously punched off the back foot to the long-off boundary by the mighty Stokes. Bairstow is a shade fortunate when a flat footed push comes off the inside edge but away for a single to take the partnership to 42.

Hugo Walford: Bangladesh will back themselves to chase even 230 in their own conditions against mediocre spinners.
Michael Shaw: 4 spinners and Root would have been better. These pitches offer nothing to Broad, so why not give him a tour off?
