More from Saf Hameed on his brother: "He's a very determined character, he believes in his own ability and he gets that from our dad, who is always giving him confidence. Sometimes if you're a talented cricketer you just want someone to give you that bit of extra confidence and he has always received 100% support from mum, dad and the rest of the family.

Robert Stow: Even if England don't win this, it has been a great performance. Rashid proving that he can be a top quality spinner at this level.

Saf Hameed on his brother's Test debut, which has seen a half-century: "It's just surreal. We all expected him to play for England at some stage because we knew he was very talented, but to play at 19 was beyond our wildest imagination and the whole experience has been unbelievable."

Paul Mackereth: India showing their inexperience with DRS, no help from Vijay to key man Pujara to advise him it may have pitched outside leg.

You're just as likely to get out defending as you are attacking. Looking at the way Rashid's bowling, you can bowl some very testing balls out there. He's had a very good match, he bowled two or three jaffas but was then very lucky to get that lbw when it pitched outside leg.
I don't think England are going to win unless something extraordinary happens, but there are signs of nervousness out there.
Ind 49-2
Anil Kumble, the India coach, is shaking his head. Pujara got no help from Murali Vijay, who just turned his back. Imagine where this game might have been if England had held their catches? That's tea. Still a chance for England?

It'll be frustrating for Anil Kumble as when you're team coach or director, you can't really do anything. It's a wasted wicket. Mind you, Trevor Bayliss doesn't give much away, we didn't see him getting stroppy when Cook was given out in that way.
Rashid 2-0-4-1
"Your honour, I would like to retract the previous statement." Certainly it was uprooting the stumps, but it's pitched a mile outside the leg stump. Why didn't Pujara review it? Has he forgotten that DRS is in play? Either way, the crowd are chanting for new man Virat Kohli.
Pujara lbw Rashid 18 (Ind 47-2)
Out. Just out. Adil Rashid pins Cheteshwar Pujara plumb in front. A little leg-break, back foot, clattering middle stump. Still hope for England?

The chances are we'll be shaking hands at 3.30pm [10:00 GMT] - it's like a boxing match without a knock-out, but in that instance you'd think England would have more points than India.
Eng need 9 wickets
Cook and Hameed both crouch at short leg, looking like two men in a pair of toilet cubicles that are without a dividing wall. The way it's going, you could put another four England fielders there and they still wouldn't stop it. Too short from Moeen, probably two overs to go before tea.

It's always interesting with a wrist-spinner on, as he's going to get more spin and bounce than a finger spinner.
34 overs remain in the day
Zafar Ansari, who could have had two-fer, is replaced by Adil Rashid, England's best spinner in the first innings. Bairstow continues to chatter, then makes the noise of a man who has been punched in the bread basket when Rashid turns one a long way. Every over takes us a step closer to what seems like an inevitable draw.

Listening in at work. Got my headset for the customers on one side and my earpiece with BBC Radio 5 live in the other. Cricket turned up louder to drown them out naturally.

Target 310
You don't see this very often. Alastair Cook and Haseeb Hameed are pretty much holding hands at short leg. It would bring the classic commentary line "Moeen Ali has two short legs, one of which is square". They are both in play, every delivery is going past them. Now, try to catch one, fellas.

We have to get to the 34th over before the final hour begins, at which point they can agree on a draw.
Eng need 9 wickets
Ansari, two drops in his previous two overs, continues to wheel away with his sling-shot action. Dark hair, not the tallest, encouraged by "yeah, Zaf" from behind the stumps. Vijay dances and plays a lovely stroke all along the carpet for four through mid-off.

You feel England have to take any chance to have any opportunity to cause an upset. Broad was not the best person for that chance to come to because he is 6ft 6 and it came at ankle height. It would have been an easier chance for a smaller man.
