    England need 148 to win

Root is bowled!! or is he? It has been referred to the third umpire for a potential no ball. This is very very tight. But it's been given not out. Roots gets away with it. He also gets a free hit.

Morgan was looking to go a lot straighter but it hit the outside of his bat and went straight to Raina, who never drops catches. It all bodes well for England for the rest of his series. He looked in amazing form.

Brilliant fielding! Eoin Morgan slaps another huge shot over the fence, is it going to be six or out?! Neither. Suresh Raina does brilliantly to take the catch, then release it as he fell over the boundary. Superb fielding and an escape for Morgan.

I've seen some spectacular England collapses down the years, but none would match the one should they lose from here.

  17. Eng 113-2published at 13.5 overs

Fetch that! Eoin Morgan times one so sweetly, it's a short ball asking to be hit and he obliges, lifting it clean over the ropes for an effortless six.

  18. Eng 105-2published at 13.2 overs

    England need 148 to win

Anyone else feel uneasy watching England be in control of a match in India? This is as steady as it gets for Eoin Morgan and Joe Root, a scare-free partnership so far. If that doesn't curse it, nothing will.

    Singles picked up with ease.

  19. Eng 103-2published at 13 overs

    England need 148 to win

The Indian fans look a bit glum as Pandya runs in. They look even more glum as he gifts England a wide first ball.

Morgan comes down the wicket and drives to the boundary. There has been nothing too flashy with Root and Morgan, they have just got on with the job at hand - taking the singles and hitting the bad balls. England are in control.

England are not being extended out in the middle. They are not being forced to play that brash, captivating style of cricket we've grown to love from them.
