Suresh Raina has drifted throughout the three different formats, but seems to have settled on T20 cricket. I can't see him getting back into the one-day team at the moment.

Suresh Raina is the new man, playing on his home ground. Only one over of the powerplay to go. England improving. Pretty even now.

That was a brilliant delivery, well directed and it followed Rahul who was rushed on the shot.

Much, much better from Chris Jordan. Variation of pace and length, a pacey short ball inducing a top edge from KL Rahul that is held at short fine leg. England learning that brains, rather than brawn, are the order of the day.

Kohli has got his eye in now. He's got such good balance - that was a lofted drive for four.

  6. Ind 33-0published at 4 overs

And again from Kohli, who again finds the fence on the off side. This is the best of the lot, a handsome drive over cover. England need to be smarter - just running in and bowling as quickly as possible won't cut the mustard.

A ball boy almost comes a cropper here. Liam Plunkett into the attack, Kohli over cover. Jason Roy gives chase, dives, and takes out the lad who is too keen to get to the ball. Roy reminds the lad to stay out of the way for longer if he doesn't want to be on the end of a two-footer.

Mills bowls a useful delivery where he runs his fingers across the ball and pushes it across the batsman. It almost fooled KL Rahul then. He also has a slower ball which is very effective because his arm comes over at exactly the same speed.

Mills is round the wicket and bowling with some Gs. 90+. Eoin Morgan needlessly gives away an overthrow with an unnecessary throw at the stumps when the batsmen are well in. It's not all fire and brimstone from Mills, there's the odd slower one in there too. At the moment, though, India have made the better start.

There is width there from Chris Jordan and if Virat Kohli plays his natural game, he will be able to find the gaps.

  12. Ind 16-0published at 2 overs

Kohli wasn't going to keep missing. A loft over mid-on brings four. Jordan, a chameleon in this over, goes to slower balls. In the end, there's only seven off it. It felt worse than that.

  14. Ind 11-0published at 1.3 overs

Bad start by Chris Jordan, more gold than Mr T around his neck. A no-ball, a free-hit, but Kohli doesn't make contact. Now a wide down the leg side. Kohli is swinging like a rusty gate, getting nothing, but Jordan is feeding the extras.

Back in the bleak days of English test cricket when I was about 10, I remember reading that "extras top scored for England"... I spent ages scouring the scorecard for this new player called Extras.

Shot lad. Kohli uses the pace and the angle to drive off the back foot through the covers for four, all along the carpet. Then a single. Mills, red bandage on the right arm, crouch at the end of his run, hop and skip into his work. Pace, though, not an issue here. Another boundary, this time a Rahul flash over point.
