England are desperate for boundaries now. Buttler delivers with an unorthodox pull to Nehra's short ball. Four.

Nehra, already with three wickets to his name, comes in for his final over. Buttler digs out a yorker which brings Root to the strike. 

Root is looking for a big six but doesn't quite get hold of it, lucky for him it falls short of a fielder and they run two. Another single follows as he hits it straight back to the bowler. England need some boundaries. Big time!

Another dot ball. And another. He almost has a wicket to finish as Root sends one high but short of the onrushing fielder on the edge of the circle. Bumrah is doing a sterling job for his side. India favourites now.

Two dot balls from Bumrah to Buttler. Is this going to be tighter than we perhaps thought a couple of overs ago? The England wicketkeeper finally manages to get off strike with a single from the third ball of the over.

Stokes deals with a Bumrah full toss by dragging it over to the mid-wicket boundary. Nine off the over and England are closer to the finishing line.

That's just brute power from Ben Stokes. No way should that be going for six.

Another Indian spinner bowls out as Chahal delivers his last. Root is happy to hand over to Stokes, who is frustrated by Kohli at cover after connecting very well with a shortish ball. That's four but for the fielder.

The Durham all-rounder makes no mistake a couple of balls later, using his raw power to smash a ball off the back foot straight over long-on for six. He has won that battle for his side. Can he win them the war?

When India thought they were gaining control, England have wrested it back through Ben Stokes.

There's some solid dancing going on in the Indian crowd - they're still in good spirits and feel they can win this. 

But Ben Stokes has come to the party! 10 runs from Raina's first two balls, a powerful punch past the bowler for four is followed by a big six down the ground! 

A few more singles to end the over. You feel momentum is now with England.

There's things happening all the time in the middle, given there's help for the spinners.

Mishra bowls out with a fine last over. Just the three singles off it to amp up the pressure a bit more on England. Huge applause around the ground. It would have been bigger had he reeled his foot back in an inch or two for that Stokes ball.

Raina struggles to find his line as he gifts England a few wides. The Indian players then get very excited by an lbw shout as Root misses a sweep. Kohli looks shocked that wasn't given, but replays show that it was going down the leg side.
