Billings got cramped up. Usually he pulls the ball so wristily but this time it got a little bit too big on him.

England lose their first wicket as Billings goes. Smart from Nehra. He saw the batsman coming and dug one in short, which Billings top-edged and skied to Bumrah at fine leg.

That is why people get excited about Sam Billings... because he can play shots like that.

That is huge, monstrous from Billings. What a crisp, clean hit.

    Eng need 145 to win

You feel it is a matter of time until one of these tees off ... in fact it is a matter of seconds as Billings with an absolute huge six off Chahal over long-on. That was massive!

Anything you can do, I can do better, says Jason Roy. A slog which again goes over long-on and lands just over the advertising boards.

    A big over!

    Eng need 145 to win

Jason Roy's bat has taken one for the team. It was already heavily taped up but takes one hit too many at the bottom of the blade from Ashish Nahra. The England start remains a steady one. Roy misses out a bit on a short ball that didn't get up as much as expected. Five off the over.

Chahal often bowls in the powerplay in domestic T20 cricket. He plays for the RCB and it's a useful skill to have. It's good for Virat Kohli to know he can chuck him the ball.

So here we go, can England wrap up this series or will it go to a decider?

India also start with spin as Chahal opens the bowling.

A solid start for India with just a couple of singles from the over, as Roy and Billings begin this run-chase with a bit of patience.

  9. MVP Jordanpublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

Hats off to Chris Jordan. He has not always been held in high regard by some England fans but he is proving to be a consistent performer now and is clearly his country's best death bowler. He was involved in six wickets in that innings, taking three of them, claiming two run outs and taking a catch off Rashid.

Losing the Test and ODI series on this tour somewhat masks what a good T20 team England are. They have won five of their last six T20's to have been played outside of England; that defeat coming in the 2016 World T20 Final against West Indies.

  12. 'I was able to cash in'published at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

India batsman KL Rahul, who made 71: "I enjoyed that. It's not been so easy for me in the last three or four innings. I wanted to spend some time in the middle and I was happy with the way I batted.

"The new ball was coming on and even the bowlers take time to understand what a good length is. I was able to cash in before the bowlers figured that out.

"We know this isn't going to be a high-scoring game, so we're happy with 144."

England will have to play extremely well to chase these down.

Three wickets and just four runs in the final over. That's twice in a row Chris Jordan has been able to do the job for England at the end. It's so important for your batsmen to think they have the momentum when they go in at the break.

    Dhoni b Jordan 5 (Ind 144-8)

Jordan ends a superb final over with a wicket as Dhoni looks to slam the final ball around the planet and back but instead edges on to his own stumps.

England will see that as half a job done.

Mishra run out Moeen 0 (Ind 144-7)

Mishra is gone without facing a ball. Dhoni looks for a second run and Mishra kindly gives up his wicket so the big dangerman can see off the innings.

Pandya run out Jordan 2 (Ind 143-6)

Good awareness from Jordan. Pandya and Dhoni take him for four from his first two balls (including a wide) but after the former strikes against the wickets at the far end with a straight drive, the bowler whips out the stump with ball in hand to remove him.

  19. Ind 139-5published at 19 overs

Useful 30 off 29 balls from Pandey. Pandya replaces him and immediately gets a superbly-delivered slower ball from Mills. Too good for him. He swings but misses by miles.

It was a change of pace from Mills and it split the stumps apart.
