The calm head of Steven Crook is out in the middle with young Max Holden (28 not out) for Northamptonshire now as the target comes down to 47 off 60 balls.

Derbyshire captain Billy Godleman must be wondering if he set a big enough target.

Richard Levi moves on to 99 as he sends the final ball of Daryn Smit's over to the boundary.

Northants right on course in this big chase.

It was going to take a leading innings from the top of the order - Rob Newton provided it with a fine 98 - and contributions from the naturally aggressive middle order - and Richard Levi is ticking that box too.

The progress since tea has been excellent and put Derbyshire back on the defensive. 

Northants still have Steven Crook and Rory Kleinveldt to come to try and finish this chase off. 

But work still to do with time ticking away.

We're into the final hour of play at Derbyshire and Richard Levi (92 not out) hits the first run in nine balls to move on to 90.

This result still looks to be heading in one direction but a couple of quick wickets for the hosts and Northamptonshire's players will start to get twitchy.

The visitors need another 65 runs off 14 overs.

Jeevan Mendis bowls a very rare maiden over for Derbyshire.

The hosts are in danger of losing points rather than gaining any as they're currently -3 for their over rate. It's all going wrong for Billy Godleman and his men this evening.

Unless they pick up some quite wickets, the hosts are headed to defeat against Northamptonshire.

Levi moves on to 85 off just 62 balls with his fourth maximum of the innings.

Richard Levi wants an early bath, clearly! Luis Reece is the latest bowler to feel the full brunt of the Northamptonshire's batsman wrath as his over is dispatched for 11.

Northants are pacing this chase absolutely perfectly, the visitors need another 112 runs off 24 overs.

Richard Levi is in full on Twenty20 mode as he reaches his half century off just 39 balls with six fours and two maximums.

Levi's partnership with Rob Newton (91 not out) has moved on to 70 now and Northants target is now 132 runs off 26 overs.

And one draw brings another in quick succession....

Hands also shaken at The Oval, where after fourth day centuries for Kumar Sangakkara (136) and Scott Borthwick (108 not out) there was little in it for the bowlers.

So, both sides remain unbeaten in their opening two games. It's two draws for the Red Rose and a win and a draw for Surrey.

So, that is indeed that at Ageas Bowl.

At one stage, it looked like Hampshire were going to force a big win over the champions.

But, Middlesex's lower-order stood firm and saw it out.
