India's 169-9 is all of a sudden looking like a winning score at Derby as Pakistan have slumped to 29-6 in pursuit.

Opener Nahida Khan is unbeaten on 11 off 44 balls, but she is the only Pakistan batter to make it into double figures so far.

Australia are in a much stronger position at Bristol at 98-2 off 25 overs in reply to New Zealand's 219-9. Meg Lanning and Ellyse Perry currently at the crease for the Aussies.

Heather Knight and Sarah Taylor are enjoying themselves in the Taunton sun. The runs are coming along easily, they're having a chat between overs, both smiling. Life's good.

This is resembling a public net session now. England have the sunroof down, the music blaring and are cruising along the open road. Easy pickings.

Siriwardena is bowling her off-spinners with a cap on. I'm not a fan of bowlers wearing caps. I just don't rate them - like pony-tailed centre-halves. I should add that Siriwardena has taken more than 100 ODI wickets in her career so she's more than useful - not that she's troubling Heather Knight who sweeps four to the boundary.

This is a fine example of how nimble Sarah Taylor's footwork has been today.

That's lovely, Heather Knight. The England skipper gets her foot to the ball and pushes it through the covers for four. Watch and learn, kids.

    Knight 33, Taylor 32

Another over passes and England are another four runs better off. They are in as much control as a toddler with the TV remote control. This is all theirs.

What marks out Heather Knight and Sarah Taylor is their foot work. Both are nimble on their toes and quick to get into position against the slower Sri Lankan bowlers.

    Target 205

If England's fielding needs improvement, I'd wager their batting looks as good as any now Sarah Taylor is back and in form. She and Heather Knight are effortlessly ticking the scoreboard over, knowing they require less than 100 now with the likes of Nat Sciver and Katherine Brunt still to come. A strong middle order.

    Knight 26, Taylor 28

These two are developing a nice little showreel already. Below you'll see Heather Knight hitting straight down the ground, and in the latest over to pass us by, Sarah Taylor pulls a majestic four through the leg side. The smile on her face after the ball flies off the middle shows she's enjoying it out there.

    Thanks Stephan.

It looks like Heather Knight did indeed hit that one - she's gotten away with one.

She celebrates with a lusty blow over mid-wicket for four.

I like Heather Knight. She's got a natural air of authority about her. Proper steel and grit a la Ricky Ponting. You wouldn't cross her.

Now then. It didn't bounce. Knight tried to play a sweep and the ball ended up in the keeper's gloves. Given not out. Was there bat in that? The umpire didn't think so. England's serene progress continues. It's barely a contest. Here's Marc Higginson.

  14. Eng 81-2published at 14 overs

The left-arm spin of Sri Lanka captain Inoka Ranaweera comes into the attack, Knight greeting her opposite number with a wallop through the on side for four. What's the keeper appealing for here? A catch? I'm pretty sure that's bounced. Nothing doing.

Still the off-spin of Ranasinghe, Sri Lanka now with reinforcements on the leg side. Taylor, with an open stance, still manages to find a gap. Four singles from the over.

A couple of times Heather Knight has gone right back on to her stumps, working the ball. She'll be in trouble if she misses it. Having said that, one suspects that any problems England may encounter during this chase would be of their own making. Run-scoring does not look tricky.

  17. Eng 68-2published at 11 overs

End of the powerplay, field goes back as some younger members of the crowd bosh together inflatable sticks to make a din. Next in Nat Sciver waits with her head resting on her hands. Three singles from Ranasinghe's over.

Pakistan have made a disastrous start in reply to India's 169-9 and are currently 14-4 at Derby. Left-arm spinner Ekta Bisht has taken 3-3 from three overs while Jhulan Goswami has picked up one.

Australia are looking a lot more confident against New Zealand at Bristol and are 49-1 in the 14th over in pursuit of 220 for victory. Nicole Bolton (26) is the batter out having been caught by Holly Huddleston off the bowling of Anna Peterson.

Cute from Sarah Taylor, a scoop to the vacant fine leg boundary for four. It's celebrated with a blast of Muse by the DJ. Miles better than the 90s naff-pop we had earlier. Taylor is absolutely drilling the ball, only being denied by pesky fielders. I still reckon England could get these in about 30 overs.

  20. SL 60-2published at 9 overs

Knight has only just arrived, but she's clever enough to see the gap behind square on the leg side. A little lap gets her off the mark with a boundary. That wicket of Lauren Winfield is even more disappointing for England given the touch she looked in...
