Northants v Notts (starts at 10:30 BST)

Nottinghamshire have led Division Two from the off, but their well-deserved time off last week left their position on the summit vulnerable and Worcestershire pounced, beating Leicestershire to move nine points clear in first place.

Peter Moores' side can overtake their rivals and stay on course for the treble by beating Northants at Wantage Road.

Having already won the One-Day Cup and T20 Blast the Outlaws are two wins away from completing the first domestic treble in county cricket since Warwickshire won three trophies in the 1994 season. Game on.

    County Championship, Day One

This time last year, Middlesex, Somerset and Yorkshire were involved in a fascinating three-way fight for the title, that went down to the final session of the season.

Now there is a very strong chance that one of the three of them will go down.

Just one point separates the three sides, with two rounds of matches to play. But Surrey and Hampshire aren't safe either!

So while Essex may have won the Championship already, get ready for a huge next four days in the battle to avoid joining Warwickshire in Division Two next season.
