"Yes, Rashy," chirps Jonny Bairstow as England's leg-spinner finds a bit of turn. Rashid has dismissed Kohli twice in this series, including in the first innings here. It goes without saying that he'd absolutely love to again.

Well done Root for keeping Rashid on. Dhawan sometimes gives you some easy wickets I have to say. Whether he came so early that Rashid was able to change to a googly I don't know but he has picked up another big wicket.

Dhawan st Bairstow b Rashid 44 (Ind 111-2)

Adil Rashid has completely done Shikhar Dhawan with a googly. The opener comes down the pitch but plays down the wrong line. He's left stranded in the middle of the pitch looking rather silly as Bairstow takes off the bails.

The England players come together and high five. Virat Kohli is in next...

India will bat all day tomorrow and get another 300, that would take the lead to 577 and you could probably declare then!

    You're mad, Chris.

Vic Marks said two wheels had fallen off the England wagon a while ago and this might be the third wobbling free. Chris Woakes has a go at Adil Rashid for not attempting a dive to try and stop a boundary. That's not like Woakes.

There looks to be a bit of tension between the England players.

No control, no penetration and even when they do find an edge they manage to drop the catch.

There is so much time left in this match so England have got to bowl them out somehow. But they have no penetration, no control...it's not going very well.

  9. Ind 102-1published at 21 overs

    Lead by 270

England desperation is clear when Joe Root comes rushing in from mid-off asking about a review after an appeal for caught behind. The only problem is Pujara missed the ball by about a foot. It's a better over in truth from Woakes. He's still trying.

England know that they tossed the game back to India in that middle session and they are still in a state of shock. India are in clover.

The Indian fans in the crowd politely applaud as a few singles bring up their side's 100. It has come up in 20 overs. Pujara is smiling away as a sub fielder runs onto the field with a towel. India will hardly be able to believe how they have turned this around.

Cook has gone through phases. When he started you thought where are they going to put him because he doesn't look very good anywhere! He graduated to first slip and has caught a lot there, without ever being one of the great slip fielders. The one he caught yesterday he didn't have time to think about.

Chris, I'm going to guess you're an England fan and if you are I think dinner with the in-laws and the weekly to-do list will be far better than watching this. England have been thrashed today.

He won't understand how he has dropped that. They are running at about 25% drops at the moment.

Sums. It. Up. Alastair Cook has just dropped a sitter at first slip. Chris Woakes is the unlucky bowler and Shikhar Dhawan the fortunate batsman. It went slowly to Cook and around knee-height to his right.

  17. Ind 96-1published at 18 overs

It's the classic in-out field for Rashid. Stokes is at slip but there are plenty of men on the boundary and it's a good job as Rashid struggles to land the ball before reaching the batsmen.

Broad and Anderson bowled a poor opening spell and that was partly, I'm sure in their minds, because they had a perfect morning and would have thought they would have a day before they had to go again.

That's damning from Vic and it's hard to argue. Chris Woakes is still running in with little success. You feel like India could declare now and win but the longer they bat the more spin Ashwin will be able to get in England's innings. Pujara and Dhawan can also play themselves into a bit of nick for the rest of the series.

It's just a waiting game. Has anyone got any exciting Sunday night plans?

You wouldn't have expected Rashid on so early but the seamers have not bowled well. They took a punt on Rashid and he has already been hit for two fours. There is a wheel off and possibly two.
