What a celebration from Pandya. He has run off to fine leg on his own.
England lose all 10 wickets in afternoon session; bowled out for 161
Third time in two years England have lost all 10 wickets in a session
That didn't happen once in previous 78 years (1938-2016)
Five wickets for Pandya & five catches for debutant keeper Pant
Earlier, India fell from overnight 307-6 to 329 all out (Kohli 97, Anderson 3-64)
England lead five-match series 2-0

Bairstow c Rahul b Pandya 15 (Eng 110-6)
Silence again. A good one in the much fabled right areas, Jonny nibbles at it and it is neatly taken at second slip. Six wickets this afternoon.

Adam Kitchiner: Decision to drop Curran for Stokes is working out well...
Dami Awobajo: Stokes coming back into the team has really paid off. Poor bowling and making no runs.
Tayler: Still can't believe Stokes was picked over Sam Curran.

New man Buttler edges Shami first ball but it falls short of the excitable captain Kohli diving forward at third slip. Only 25 runs in three innings for England's one-day wicketkeeper but he gets off the mark safely with two into the leg side.

For all Ben Stokes has gone through, since he came back into the side he hasn't found rhythm with the bat. We haven't seen him find the flow and rhythm of one or two years ago. The bowling element, he was outstanding at Edgbaston but he hasn't found the rhythm of batting yet.
Stokes c Rahul b Shami 10 (Eng 108-5)
No doubt about this catch, Rahul smartly snaffling the chance to his left at second slip and then mischievously cupping an ear to the crowd.

I love watching Test cricket these days because it is bonkers.
All of the batsmen come out throwing their hands at the ball. Bairstow is going for big booming drives.
The game is always moving forward.

Pant looks the part behind the stumps, diving away to his left to stop wayward one. Bairstow collects his third boundary with a beautifully struck square drive, the ball makes such a pleasing sound off the middle of Jonny's bat.

I was 60-40. I don't think the replays showed Rahul's catch in a good light but I thought it was out.

Shami strays on to the leg stump and Bairstow clips him for a single to record the England 100. How many can these two add? Jos Buttler next, after some low scores so far in the series.

FunDisney: The problem isn’t the forshortening, it’s the “soft signal”. To one umpire you are out there, to others not out. Neither would have been overturned so the problem is inconsistency.
Now then, here is that contentious catch. Are you giving it out or not out?

Ben Stokes has got a bit of fortune there.
Stokes on 10
Close. Very close. It was pitching in line and thudding into his pad in line but clipping the top of the stumps so it is umpire's call. India do not lose their review but they were hoping they had dismissed England's all-rounder.
Eng 99-4
Sun breaking through at Trent Bridge now to illuminate the golden earrings of the menacing Pandya as he sends them down at 87mph. We are going to have a look at an lbw appeal here. Stokes took a step down the wicket and has been given not out.

Neil Harris: England fan here, it was a very tough decision, but I thought it was out
Si Lomas: Totally right decision there, Rahul had fingers under ball and ball bounced up in hands always looks worse on camera but that was 100% out whether we like it or not

Bairstow 5, Stokes 10
A second boundary for Stokes as a clip off his pads at Shami just trickles its way to the rope, the England supporters becoming more involved in the proceedings now and cheering heartily.

STONEY: That’s a disgraceful decision. Disgraceful.
Patrick Warburton: Wow, I must be watching a different replay, not out any day for me!
Sam Rao: Root’s dismissal is a joke. Surely gotta give the benefit of doubt to the batsman here? It looked like the ball bounced.

No boos for Ben Stokes and he gets off the mark first ball with a confident push through the covers for two. He then gets some width and flays it away to the boundary. How will these two attacking players approach this? It will be fun to find out.
