Division Two leaders Warwickshire reach stumps unscathed at Edgbaston, having been set a victory target of 294 by Glamorgan.

It would have been a lot smaller but for the efforts of Australia's Usman Khawaja, who marked his Championship debut for the Welsh county by scoring 125 off 143 balls.

Skipper Chris Cooke provided solid support with 59, but once they departed the last four wickets went down for 39 as Chris Wright and Henry Brookes claimed three wickets each.

Having been bowled out for under 100 in their first innings, and with a side including four debutants, Durham are now in position to force a remarkable victory at the Riverside.

With nine overs remaining, Derbyshire need another 213 to win, but Ben Slater is still there on 31 not out, with Championship newcomer Callum Brodrick on seven at the other end.

Chris Rushworth claimed the most recent wicket, bowling Matt Critchley for a first-ball duck.

    Essex 93-5 (26.3 overs) & 302 v Lancashire 301 & 105

12 still needed as Ryan ten Doeschate holes out in the covers for 19, going for a big lofted off drive off Matt Parkinson.

But Ravi Bopara is still there, well set on 32.

  8. Glos openers deny Kentpublished at 18:14 British Summer Time 11 June 2018

    Kent 582-9 dec v Gloucestershire 240 & 73-0 (25 overs)

Not even Matt Henry can conjure up a breakthrough for Kent as Gloucestershire's openers see it through to stumps, having followed on at Bristol, with Benny Howell 44 not out and Chris Dent on 27.

New Zealand paceman Henry earlier took 6-58 in their first innings as Gloucestershire conceded a 342-run lead despite 83 by Graeme van Buuren and Kieron Noema-Barnett's 73 not out.

And Kent remain the only side in a position to win this game on the final day, with the home side still 269 in arrears.

  9. LEICESTERSHIRE BEAT NORTHANTS BY 6 WKTSpublished at 18:05 British Summer Time 11 June 2018
    Breaking

    Northamptonshire 204 & 229 v Leicestershire 217 & 217-4 (66.4 overs)

Neil Dexter hits Saif Zaib over mid-off for four and Leicestershire have a second successive Championship victory - the first time they have 'doubled up' for eight years.

Dexter finishes 10 not out with Colin Ackermann on 42, but Lewis Hill (85) and Paul Horton (62) set up the win with a second-wicket stand of 148.

Northants lost their last six wickets for 49 runs earlier in the day at Wantage Road, despite skipper Alex Wakely's 74, and they have now lost four games this summer after narrowly missing out on promotion in 17.

They take four points, with Leicestershire earning 20.

Steven Mullaney (94), Jake Libby (69), Chris Nash (66) and Samit Patel (59) also batted well on a tough day for the Somerset bowlers, with Roelof van der Merwe sending down 43 overs for his 4-114.

  11. Essex on the way to victorypublished at 17:57 British Summer Time 11 June 2018

    Essex 73-4 (18.4 overs) & 302 v Lancashire 301 & 105

Essex still needed 64 when Ravi Bopara was joined by his sklpper Ryan ten Doeschate but they have now halved that deficit.

    Just 32 required now.

  12. wicket

WICKET Hill b Zaib 85published at 17:51 British Summer Time 11 June 2018

    Northamptonshire 204 & 229 v Leicestershire 217 & 200-4 (62.2 overs)

Lewis Hill misses out on a match-winning century as he tries to sweep a ball from left-arm spinner Saif Zaib and is given out leg-before. Mark Cosgrove comes out to join Colin Ackermann (35*) with just 17 more needed by Leicestershire, and hits a catch into the deep in Zaib's next over, departing for a duck.

  13. 100 runs

for Tom Moorespublished at 17:45 British Summer Time 11 June 2018

    Somerset 392 v Nottinghamshire 134 & 460-7 (126.1 overs)

It's a proud day for Nottinghamshire head coach Peter Moores as his 21-year-old son flicks a ball from Josh Davey down to fine leg for four, the 16th of his innings. Understandably, he punches the air in delight. It has taken Moores Jr just 106 balls to reach three figures and it is an innings which has brought his side right back into this match.

The day's scheduled allocation of overs having been bowled, we are now in extra-overs territory.

  14. wicket

WICKET Root b Bess 36published at 17:41 British Summer Time 11 June 2018

    Somerset 392 v Nottinghamshire 134 & 456-7 (125.1 overs)

Bill Root is deceived by one that drifts in with the arm and England spinner Dom Bess has his first wicket of the match for Somerset. Root put on 118 with Tom Moores, who is 98 and on the brink of a maiden first-class century. The Notts lead is 198.

  15. Glamorgan all out at Edgbastonpublished at 17:40 British Summer Time 11 June 2018

    Glamorgan 220 & 323 v Warwickshire 250

Glamorgan have been bowled out by Warwickshire at Edgbaston for 323.

Pacemen Henry Brookes and Chris Wright have taken three wickets each to leave the Division Two leaders with a victory target of 294.

Meanwhile, having enforced the follow-on against Gloucestershire, Kent are finding things tougher second time around.

Yesterday, they slumped to 5-3, responding to Kent's mammoth first innings 582-9 declared. Today, put back in, they are 59-0.

Benny Howell is going particularly well on 38. Chris Dent is on 19.

  16. Yorkshire wicketkeeper Hodd to retirepublished at 17:36 British Summer Time 11 June 2018

Yorkshire wicketkeeper Andrew Hodd is to retire from all forms of cricket at the end of this season.

  17. 50 up for Essexpublished at 17:34 British Summer Time 11 June 2018

    Essex 51-4 (12.1 overs) & 302 v Lancashire 301 & 105

Only 53 needed now as Ravi Bopara finds the mid-wicket boundary to bring up the Essex 50. He then nudges a single. Ryan ten Doeschate does the same. Essex look in good hands now.

  18. Leicestershire close on victorypublished at 17:33 British Summer Time 11 June 2018

    Northamptonshire 204 & 229 v Leicestershire 217 & 172-2 (56 overs)

Fewer than 50 now required by Leicestershire for a second successive Championship victory. We think the last time they did that was in 2010, when they beat Gloucestershire and Northants - with current head coach Paul Nixon playing in those games. If we're wrong, tweet us at #bbccricket.

Lewis Hill is 75 not out and Colin Ackermann has moved quickly to 19 after two fours in the last over from Rob Keogh, one bashed over mid-off and the other hit straight down the ground.

Just like Mike and his Mechanics, Northants need a miracle.

  19. wicket

WICKET Lawrence b Mennie 3published at 17:25 British Summer Time 11 June 2018

    Essex 41-4 (10.3 overs) & 302 v Lancashire 301 & 105

Game on in Manchester now as a fourth wicket falls.

Joe Mennie gets in on the act by rearranging Dan Lawrence's stumps.

The off stump flies out of the ground and Essex are in full panic mode.

Cue the arrival of the reassuring presence of skipper Ryan ten Doeschate. 64 still needed!

  20. Career-best for Moorespublished at 17:21 British Summer Time 11 June 2018

    Somerset 392 v Nottinghamshire 134 & 425-6 (119 overs)

Easy pickings for Tom Moores as Lewis Gregory strays outside leg stump and he flicks it away for his 12th boundary. He is now 80 not out - by some distance the highest first-class score of his career. Billy Root is on 23 and together they have added 87 in 18 overs. The Notts lead is 167.
