  1. Relive Overton's treblepublished at 12:47 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

In case you missed Craig Overton's hat-trick during Somerset's innings win over Nottinghamshire, the club have helpfully put the wickets together in a social media post, just so you can watch them.

Incidentally, Marcus Trescothick has now taken 550 catches in first-class cricket. Safe hands!

Sussex's season ended yesterday with a disappointing two-day defeat by Northamptonshire, but head coach Jason Gillespie says he has enjoyed his first summer in charge on the south coast.

"They’re a ripping bunch of lads and I’ve enjoyed spending time with them and learning about their individual games," the Australian said.

“It’s been a real learning curve for me and hopefully I can take all that information and learning and help to be a more effective coach of this squad going into next year and beyond."

He added: “The side have shown signs of promise, but we’ve just lost wickets in clumps on too many occasions. “A couple of younger players have been afforded opportunities and shown signs of improvement in their own games. But, we need to improve our consistency as a group."

It looks like Warwickshire are on their way to securing the Division Two title - but there is news from Edgbaston that some supporters may not like.

  4. Glamorgan on course for victorypublished at 12:38 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Glamorgan 359 & 175 v Leicestershire 132 & 4-1

    Nick Webb
    BBC Wales Sport

Glamorgan are well set to record their first Championship victory since April despite a collapse which saw them lose their last six wickets for 69 runs.

Debutant Tom Taylor hit the stumps three times in successive overs to claim figures of 4-15 in 12 overs, including top scorer Chris Cooke for 45.

Graham Wagg made 23 at a run a ball and Michael Hogan struck two sixes before becoming Ben Mike’s third victim.

But Leicestershire, who would set a county record if they were to reach their target of 403, lost Ateeq Javid lbw to Hogan’s first ball for three.

  5. Lunch at New Roadpublished at 12:36 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Worcs 340 & 120-3 v Yorks 428 (Lead by 32)

It's never dull with Moeen at the crease, as the batsman hits Patterson high in the air and the ball bounces safely down the ground for another four.

Milton just needs to hang around here and give him the strike.

Milton gets a nasty lifter from Brooks but he manages to dab it down to third man for a couple.

Next he's beaten outside the off stump and survives a half lbw appeal off the third.

He survives the over and an entertaining session ends with the game delicately poised.

    Warwks 380 v Kent 167 & 133-6 (Trail by 80)

The morning session ends in the worst possible fashion for Kent as Zak Crawley is pinned lbw by a superb ball from Ryan Sidebottom that spears in and straightens.

The Bears are within touching distance of a first-place finish.

  8. Roy's morning at The Ovalpublished at 12:32 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Surrey 67 & 210-1 v Essex 477-8 dec

Hard to believe that champions Surrey were hustled out for 67 on the opening day, such has been their dominance on the third morning against Essex.

The pitch has really flattened out now and the visitors - with Matt Coles in their attack in place of Sam Cook, who was hit on the helmet yesterday - are still waiting for a breakthrough.

A single for Jason Roy off Jamie Porter concludes the scoring before lunch and he has 106 not out, with Mark Stoneman on 75. Their partnership is worth 147, but Surrey still need to score another 200 to clear the first-innings deficit.

  9. Crawley and Billings resist for Kentpublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Warwks 380 v Kent 167 & 128-5 (Trail by 85)

Patel is bowling round the wicket and Zak Crawley leaves outside the off stump.

Plenty of work to do for him and Billings but they've looked up for the fight so far.

  10. Final push for Brookspublished at 12:25 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Worcs 340 & 110-3 v Yorks 428 (Lead by 21)

Can the White Rose grab another wicket before lunch?

Over to you, Jack Brooks - who has had a more than handy last outing for the club with an 82 and six wickets.

He'll play for Somerset next summer.

Moeen gets a single off the first ball and Milton steers to third man for three.

A heave and a miss from Moeen and a controlled pull sends the last ball safely to backward square for one.

  11. Patel tests Crawleypublished at 12:21 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Warwks 380 v Kent 167 & 122-5 (Trail by 90)

Zak Crawley swerves out of the way of a ball that bounces and turns and the fifth ball turns away down the leg side but the keeper prevents the bye.

Crawley forces the last ball away off his hip for a single.

    Somerset 463 v Nottinghamshire 133 & 184

Skin of the teeth survival for Notts, who succumb to their eighth defeat of the season when Matt Carter falls lbw to Josh Davey for 22 as he tries to swing the ball through mid-wicket.

Seam bowler Davey has figures of 3-20 - but it Craig Overton's hat-trick earlier in the morning, removing Ben Slater, Samit Patel and Riki Wessels with the help of three catches by Marcus Trescothcick, which really wrecked the home side's hopes of saving the game.

Somerset take a maximum 24 points to confirm their place as runners-up, while the two earned by Notts sees them send Lancashire down by virtue of having won one more game.

    Worcs 340 & 103-3 v Yorks 428 (lead by 15)

Moeen crashes Bresnan through to the pavilion for four to move to 49.

A play and a miss follows and then the 4th ball is scythed over the covers for four more.

That's a whirlwind 50 off just 55 balls with nine fours and a six.

  14. LANCASHIRE BEAT HAMPSHIRE BY 8 WICKETSpublished at 12:15 British Summer Time 26 September 2018
    Breaking

    Hampshire 187 & 198 v Lancashire 273 & 113-2

It's easy as 1-2-3 for Liam Livingstone, who finishes the game at the Ageas Bowl with three fours in one over off Gareth Berg.

Livingstone made 48 off 30 balls and shared an unbroken partnership of 73 in 7.2 overs with Keaton Jennings, who ends on 40 not out.

A dominant display by the Red Rose county, but the 21 points earned is not enough to keep them in Division One. They finish level with Notts, but go down because they have won one fewer game.

  15. Crawley battles on for Kentpublished at 12:12 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Warwks 380 v Kent 167 & 117-5 (trail by 96)

    Michael Perkins
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

Zak Crawley seems to have found a partner at the crease, having seen four depart without making double figures this morning.

You feel he and Billings need to knock off the bulk of the 98 runs that Warwickshire are still in front by in the beautiful autumn Edgbaston sunshine.

The Kent captain’s stay at the crease has not been without alarm so far.

Tim Ambrose couldn’t quite cling on to a sharp chance off the edge stood up to his captain Jeetan Patel, whilst Ian Bell thought he had held a low chance at slip that didn’t look as if it was going to carry, but the former England player looked convinced he’d got fingers under it.

  16. Pears close to parity but three downpublished at 12:09 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Worcs 340 & 87-3 v Yorks 428 (trail by 1)

Shot! Moeen isn't going down without a fight as he belts Tim Bresnan over mid off for a one-bounce four.

Jack Brooks is sent right back to the boundary rope.

Moeen gets a single off the third ball.

A no-ball from Bresnan and Milton scrambles a leg bye off the last ball for one.

WICKET Moores c Hildreth b Davey 17published at 12:08 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Somerset 463 v Nottinghamshire 133 & 171-9

Somerset's slip catching has been really good in this game and there's another one as James Hildreth clings onto a chance offered by Tom Moores.

Notts may be staying up - but Harry Gurney's bowling apart, they can take very few positives from this game.

  18. Kent five down at Edgbastonpublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Warwks 380 v Kent 167 & 110-5 (trail by 103)

Ryan Sidebottom drops short and Billings dabs down safely to point.

The 5th ball is going down leg and Billings leaves it alone.

Another straight one is blocked. Kent are holding on.

for Jason Roypublished at 12:02 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Surrey 67 & 199-1 v Essex 477-8 dec

    Jason RoyImage source, Rex Features

Jason Roy hits spinner Simon Harmer for four and there is his ninth first-class century - and first since 2016.

It has taken the right-hander just 92 balls, despite a painful blow on the hand, and the boundary was the 17th of his innings, to go with two sixes.

    Surrey still 211 behind, though.

  20. Moeen attackspublished at 12:00 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Worcs 340 & 77-3 v Yorks 428 (trail by 11)

Outside edge from Moeen off Bresnan but the ball bounces well in front of Adam Lyth.

Moeen pushes Bresnan through backward point for four.

A flashing drive and a miss off the next ball but Moeen connects this time and smashes Bresnan through the covers for four. That's 30 in just 38 balls.

Make that 34 off 39 as he pulls Bresnan over square leg.
