  1. Bears fans in mood to celebratepublished at 11:17 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at Edgbaston

You can keep all your loud music and all the OTT histrionics of T20 cricket.

The roar to greet Keith Barker’s second wicket in three balls when he removed Joe Denly was as loud as any cheers when Worcestershire won the Blast so thrillingly here on this ground just 11 days ago.

It was one thing getting nightwatchman Adam Riley, to a stunning catch from Dom Sibley, but it was something else then rearranging England winter tourist Denly’s stumps second ball.

There’s a better than average crowd here in Birmingham here to see the Bears hopefully acclaimed as Division Two champions today. And they sounded very pleased!

    Warwks 380 v Kent 167 & 68-4 (trail by 145)

Plenty of pressure on Zak Crawley...

Five dot balls for Chris Wright and the batsman drives the last one for four.

Clever shot from Heino Kuhn, who steers Olly Stone safely wide of the slips for four more.

Got him! Olly Stone gets the ball to shape away and Kuhn edges to the keeper.

The wheels are coming off in a hurry.

  3. Roy passes fiftypublished at 11:14 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Surrey 67 & 142-1 v Essex 477-8 dec

Mark Stoneman and Jason Roy are breezing along without, it would seem, a care in the world at The Oval.

Roy reached his fifty with a checked drive for four off Matt Coles and followed that by depositing the next delivery into the stands.

Surrey are still 268 behind, but Essex have now turned to spinner Simon Harmer, who may be the biggest threat to their unbeaten record.

    Worcs 340 & 15-1 v Yorks 428 (trail by 73)

Ouch! Nasty delivery from Jack Brooks, who gets the ball to rise off a length to Daryl Mitchell, who gloves it to the keeper.

Huge pressure for Moeen Ali as he strides to the middle.

  5. Division Two round-uppublished at 11:04 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

Here's the latest in our second division games away from Edgbaston...

Glamorgan have found batting harder second time round and are currently 117-7 against Leicestershire at Cardiff. Chris Cooke was the last man out, bowled by Tom Taylor for 45.

Nonetheless the lead is a very healthy 344 runs.

Middlesex are building their lead against Durham at the Riverside in a much-improved batting performance after being bundled out for 121 first time round. Dawid Malan is 42 not out as the visitors have reached 269-4 and a lead of 80 runs.

Nick Gubbins fell nine short of three figures, lbw to Chris Rushworth.

At Derby, Gloucestershire are 50-2 with Miles Hammond and nightwatchman George Drissell at the crease and need another 129 to beat Derbyshire.

  6. WICKET Edwards c Jones b Bailey 5published at 11:03 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Hampshire 187 & 198 v Lancashire 273

    Tom BaileyImage source, Getty Images

It is fitting that the final Hampshire wicket goes to Tom Bailey at the Ageas Bowl as Fidel Edwards edges a leg-cutter to slip.

Bailey finishes with 4-43, match figures of 8-100 and 64 victims for the season at an average of 19.65.

The right-arm pace bowler could well end the season as Division One's leading wicket-taker as he has seven more than any other bowler at the moment.

Lancashire's relegation may have been confirmed yesterday, but they only need 113 to win this game.

  7. Barker pushes Bears towards titlepublished at 11:02 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Kent 167 & 56-3 v Warwickshire 380

    Clive Eakin
    BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Sport

Warwickshire's dependable left-arm seamer Keith Barker has taken his county a couple of steps towards the second division title on the third day of the decider at Edgbaston.

Dominic Sibley's fourth catch of the match, a brilliant low take at second slip, saw off nightwatchman Adam Reilly and crucially, two balls later, Barker made a mess of Joe Denny's stumps to dismiss the England player for a duck.

Having conceded a first innings deficit of 213, Kent have to bat all day to have any realistic chance of taking the trophy away from Warwickshire.

  8. Duckett avoids pairpublished at 11:01 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Somerset 463 v Nottinghamshire 133 & 124-6

Having watches three of his team-mates fall in successive balls, Nottinghamshire's Ben Duckett has managed to avoid ending the season with a pair following his golden duck in the first innings.

He and Tom Moores have a lot of batting to do if they are to avoid an innings defeat, and although Duckett pulls Craig Overton away for four in the latest over, they need 202 more to make Somerset bat again.

    Kent 167 & 56-3 v Warwks 380 (trail by 157)

It's a second-ball duck for Joe Denly as Keith Barker bursts through his defenses with a straight one.

    Great start for the Bears.

Ben Coad has the new ball...

    Warwks 380 v Kent 167 & 56-2 (trail by 157)

Crawley is a whisker away from edging Chris Wright as the ball curves away to keeper Tim Ambrose.

Adam Riley scrambles a couple of leg byes off Keith Barker...

Next ball is edged and caught at slip by Dom Sibley, diving low to his left. Great effort!

    Surrey 67 & 117-1 v Essex 477-8 dec

    Mark StonemanImage source, Rex Features

Quite a way for Mark Stoneman to go to his half-century as he pulls a short one from Jamie Porter over deep backward square for six. It's taken him just 68 balls and Jason Roy is also going well at the other end, on 36 not out. But Surrey still need another 292 to make Essex bat again.

  13. wicket

WICKET Abbott b Bailey 21published at 10:45 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Hampshire 187 & 182-9 v Lancashire 273

A beauty from Tom Bailey, who cuts the ball back off the seam and knocks out Kyle Abbott's off stump. Hampshire lead is just 96 as number eleven Fidel Edwards walks out to the middle.

No double ton for Gary Ballance - as the batsman pulls Ed Barnard from outside the off peg and top edges to Dillon Pennington.

A more than handy lead nonetheless.

  15. Kent under pressurepublished at 10:44 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Warwks 380 v Kent 167 & 50-1

Zak Crawley withdraws his bat at the last minute to leave Chris Wright - and no doubt both players will claim a moral victory there.

Nightwatchman Adam Riley gets his first runs through gully off Keith Barker and the batsmen put their skates on to make it three.

Huge appeal for lbw against Crawley but the umpire says no. Missing leg?

They scramble a single to leg to get to 50.

  16. HAT-TRICK BY CRAIG OVERTONpublished at 10:40 British Summer Time 26 September 2018
    Breaking

    Somerset 463 v Nottinghamshire 133 & 119-6

    Yes, we are.

Craig Overton produces an absolute beauty which leaves Riki Wessels off the pitch and Marcus Trescothick takes the catch in front of his face - it's a hat-trick for him too.

    Unbelievable stuff.

In case you've forgotten, team-mate Tom Abell claimed a treble at the end of Nottinghamshire's first innings.

  17. Ballance and Coad at the creasepublished at 10:39 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Worcs 340 v Yorks 428-9

Ben Coad is rubbing a bit of salt into Worcestershire wounds here with a four and a single off Ed Barnard to get the White Rose started.

Yorkshire's number 11 gets a single off Dillon Pennington and Gary Ballance drives the bowler down the ground for four.

Another drive is fumbled on the off side and Ballance takes a single to go to 194.

    Somerset 463 v Nottinghamshire 133 & 119-5

Are we about to see our second hat-trick of the game after Craig Overton sends back Ben Slater for 49 and Samit Patel for a golden duck, both caught at second slip by Marcus Trescothick?

  19. Coles drafted in by Essexpublished at 10:36 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Surrey 67 & 98-1 v Essex 477-8 dec

Essex paceman Matt Coles bowls his first over at The Oval after Sam Cook was ordered out of the game under concussion protocols, having been hit on the helmet while batting on day two. It's an expensive one as Jason Roy finds the boundary twice to advance to 31 not out.

  20. Wright starts for the Bearspublished at 10:34 British Summer Time 26 September 2018

    Warwks 380 v Kent 167 & 41-1

Can Kent take this game into day four? Zak Crawley clips Wright through the on side to pick up three.

172 behind now. Nightwatchman Adam Riley leaves outside the off.

Not much pressure on the Bears here, who need only a draw to pick up the Division Two crown.
