What a shot!
Oh, Mark Adair has absolutely mullered Tom Curran for six. It's short and Adair gets himself into position so quickly, moving onto his back foot and swinging the ball high, high, high over cow corner and into the crowd.
A reminder that the bowlers have nine overs each, rather than 10, due to the ever-so-slightly shortened match.

I played with Mark Adair at Warwickshire for a couple of years and he is a talented all-rounder. He can swing the new ball as well.
There's something fascinating about Jofra Archer. His run-up is quite short; all the speed and power comes from his bowling arm as he wheels his arm over.
Mind you, that's a shot and a half from Mark Adair, leaning back to get hold of a short ball and swat it past Archer and down the ground for four. Archer responds with a bouncer, directed into George Dockrell's body, and Dockrell wisely gets himself out of harm's way.

Ben Foakes is only the second England wicketkeeper after Bob Taylor to take a stumping on both his Test and ODI debuts.
Tom Curran goes full and straight, spearing the ball in at George Dockrell's toes, and he and Adair flick a couple of leggy singles here and there.

Grumpydoug: And that is why you should always pick the best wicketkeeper!
Mark Hayden: In terms of the spirit of the game, how is Foakes waiting for the batsman to lift his foot different to Ashwin's Mankad on Buttler?
Archer 5-0-26-0
Mark Adair thuds his bat down on to Jofra Archer's first couple of deliveries, before he and George Dockrell work a sneaky single from the third.
Shot! That's lovely from Adair, leaning back and using Archer's extra pace to run the ball down towards point. Joe Root comes scampering around to cut the ball off and keep it to just two.
Jofra Archer is coming back into the attack for England.

That was a totally fair stumping. A batsman has to stay in his ground.
If anyone out there knows the laws better than me then please, get in touch - #bbccricket or text 81111. Personally, I think it is a fair stumping. I don't think Foakes waited an exceptionally long time - Balbirnie was over-balancing slightly.
Back on the pitch, Tom Curran wheels through a tidy over.

KP Bowman: Why was there no consideration to the ball being dead in that stumping? Seems to me that the ball was finally settled in the keeper's hands (given the pause in Foakes' movements) and then Balbirnie lifted his foot.
A bit of a Sydney Harbour Bridge?!
Tom Curran's coming on for a bowl.

I don't think Eoin Morgan will be happy with Tom Curran for his fielding there. It was a bit of a Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Dockrell 2, Adair 7
Loose from Joe Denly, serving up a friendly full toss, but George Dockrell's sweep is cut off by David Willey at backward square.
Oh, there's no stopping that though - that's four! Mark Adair takes a wander down the wicket and cracks Denly back down the ground and beyond Tom Curran.

Balbirnie won't be making a mistake like that again - it'll be burned into his memory.
Adil Rashid continues, slip in place, and he's wristily worked away for a single by Mark Adair.
George Dockrell clatters another one through backward point as Rashid whirls his way through another sedate over.

Rich Kisbee: Great glovework from Foakes...
Run rate 4.48
We've seen a couple of slow-mos of that stumping - it really is terrific awareness from Ben Foakes.
Mark Adair pushes a single to get off the mark, but that's all Ireland can conjure from this Joe Denly over.
