Chris Ward: Quick, get Chris Jordan on the phone.

Get the Under-19s out to make sure there are no more injuries!

  2. Aus 37-1published at 8 overs

    Warner 15, Finch 6

I wouldn't go as far as 'hooping around' but the ball is certainly swinging for England. Good signs for the World Cup.

Curran pitches another up to Warner which nibbles away a little but Warner gets enough bat on it to collect another four.

Warner was out for 12 in the Aussies first warm-up against West Indies on Wednesday so he'll want the time in the middle.

  3. Watch: Australia opener Finch falls for 14published at 11:11 British Summer Time 25 May 2019

One wicket so far for England.

Mark Wood got it but Aaron Finch will be disappointed with the shot.

  4. Aus 33-1published at 7 overs

    Warner 11, S Marsh 7

Stand-in captain Jos Buttler had a face like thunder there when Archer looked in trouble. The fast bowler's spikes just didn't stick in the turf and he ended up slipping over. Could have been nasty.

Warner flicks a leg-side delivery down to final leg off Stokes' final ball. The England all-rounder lets out an almighty grunt in frustration.

And now Jofra Archer is down after a dive near the fence. Heart in mouths for England fans but the all-rounder is up and smiling soon enough.

  6. Aus 29-1published at 6.4 overs

Jeeeeez. My heart can't take this.

Jofra Archer has come on to replace Mark Wood as a sub-fielder and he slips in the outfield when flicking a ball back.

Archer ends up in a heap on the turf and for a moment it looks serious. The panic must have been going through the full dressing room. Eventually Archer signals to say he is alright.

  7. Aus 26-1published at 6.2 overs

Ben Stokes will complete Wood's over.

Eoin Morgan and his finger yesterday, Mark Wood today. You surely knew it wouldn't be smooth for England.

Wood runs off the field. That must be a good sign. It doesn't look too bad.

Hopefully he is just taking every precaution.

  9. Aus 26-1published at 6.1 overs

    Oh no.

Mark Wood has pulled up in his run-up.

He has collected his cap and is heading off the field.

Stoney: A friendly, a warm-up? You’re having a laugh. This is England v Australia. This is legalised war. Go get em boys. Make those Aussies grovel.

  11. Aus 24-1published at 6 overs

    Warner 5, S Marsh 4

Well bowled, Tom Curran. Only a leg bye comes from the over.

England are playing in their new light blue World Cup kit today, the one which is a nod to their kit from the '92 World Cup. It's growing on me. What do you reckon?

I really like Tom Curran, he has showed his worth in recent games, especially at Trent Bridge. But I think he is probably the one to make way for Jofra Archer. That's why he has been given the new ball today.

  13. Aus 23-1published at 5.2 overs

Tom Curran is bowling really nicely. He goes up for another big lbw appeal but an inside edge has saved David Warner.

Warner has just five from 12 balls. He's being kept quiet.

Aaron Finch does not look too pleased with the shot he just played. He wiggles his wrist in a way to suggest Mark Wood bowled an off cutter.

Maybe I'm not giving Wood enough credit for a good bit of bowling.

Shaun Marsh gets his boundary with a tickle down to fine leg.

Interesting - Shaun Marsh is being sent in ahead of Steve Smith. Would it be just too much to have Warner and Smith in the middle at the same time?

Shaun Marsh is batting at number three for Australia. He joins David Warner in the middle.

It looked like an off-spinner slow ball. Finch looked to drop kick it over the top, he hit it quite nicely but it just went straight to that big beautiful smile of Moeen Ali at mid-on.

    Finch c Moeen b Wood 14 (Aus 19-1)

What was that?! Australia captain Aaron Finch falls to the softest of soft dismissals. He just chips a full delivery from Mark Wood straight to Moeen Ali at mid-on.

India are 10-2 in their warm-up against New Zealand.

Trent Boult has removed both openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma.

    Latest scorecard.

I'm looking forward to watching Afghanistan in this tournament. There is always a team that lights up a World Cup with their vibrant style of play. They are like Cameroon at Italia 1990, Rashid Khan is their Roger Milla.
