It's all over at Chelmsford as Essex spinner Simon Harmer has Fidel Edwards lbw for a duck to finish with 7-38 - and match figures of 12-61.

Quite incredible that second-placed Hampshire have lost 20 wickets in this game in the space of 63.5 overs.

Opener Joe Weatherley is left high and dry on 29 not out - the lowest score by a Hampshire player carrying his bat through an entire innings.

Essex take 20 points, with just three for the visitors.

Well we've seen just about everything now.

Keeper Adam Wheater fails to gather an edge by mason Crane, but has the wherewithal to kick the dropping ball towards Ryan ten Doeschate, who completes the catch at short leg.

Very much Leicestershire's day so far in their Division Two game against Gloucestershire.

Neil Dexter has hit a six and 21 fours in his unbeaten 128 and has added 204 so far with opener Hassan Azad, who has 73 to his name.

The visitors have tried six bowlers, but have had no joy since Chadd Sayers had Paul Horton caught behind in the fourth over of play.

WICKET Stewart b Pattinson 59published at 15:42 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Kent 224-7 v Notts

    Breakthrough!

It's taken a while but Pattinson has picked-up his fourth wicket, bowling Grant Stewart and breaking the fruitful partnership with Zak Crawley, which reached 100 just before the wicket fell.

  6. Crane defies Essexpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Hampshire 118 & 84-8 v Essex 218

Simon Harmer is human after all.

He drops short twice in the same over and Mason Crane proves a capable enough batsman to put both away for four.

Crane is 19 not out, and Joe Weatherley has 26. Hampshire need 12 more to make Essex bat again.

  7. Stirling passes previous bestpublished at 15:34 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Middlesex 350-6 v Glamorgan

    Charles Reynolds
    BBC Sport

Paul Stirling continues to bat Middlesex into a strong position against Glamorgan at Radlett.

The Irishman remains unbeaten and has moved past his previous career-best score of 111 to help his side to four batting bonus points.

While scoring 50 more runs in the remaining five overs left to them to secure a fifth bonus point seems unlikely, the hosts are nevertheless in a strong position against a Glamorgan side, who have been unlucky not to have had more success with the ball.

With some bad weather forecast for the remaining two days of this game, Middlesex will now be looking to push on and declare reasonably soon in order to try and give themselves their best chance of inflicting a first defeat of the season on Glamorgan.

  8. 50 runs

for Grant Stewartpublished at 15:28 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Kent 210-6 v Notts

The Australian has reached his half-century from 70 balls as Kent's afternoon resurgence continues.

Stewart's timely partnership with Zak Crawley is now worth 91 runs and has seen Kent pass 200 - a total that looked a long way off at times this morning.

  9. wicket

WICKET Thompson lbw Hannon-Dalby 0published at 15:28 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Yorkshire 101-6 v Warwickshire

Two in the over for Oliver Hannon-Dalby, who finds just enough swing to beat Jordan Thompson's attempted on-drive and the umpire raises the finger. Yorkshire in some disarray as David Willey walks out to bat.

  10. wicket

    WICKET Tattersall c Hain b Hannon-Dalby 4published at 15:25 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Yorkshire 101-5 v Warwickshire

Warwickshire strike again in York as Jonny Tattersall is squared up by Oliver Hannon-Dalby and Sam Hain takes a good catch at second slip.

Jordan Thompson is the new batsman, joining Gary Ballance, who is unbeaten on 40.

  11. Division Two round-uppublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

Neil Dexter and Hassan Azad have set a new Leicestershire second-wicket record against Gloucestershire, beating the stand of 153 between Barry Dudleston and Chris Balderstone in 1979. They have so far put on 195 in a score of 201-1, with Dexter 126 not out and Azad on 72.

After a belated start at Derby, the home side are 16-3 in the 13th over, with Lancashire seamer Graham Onions having so far taken 3-9.

And on day two at Radlett, Middlesex have progressed to 350-6 - thereby earning a fourth batting point - with Paul Stirling now on 123. John Simpson was caught behind off Timm van der Gugten, so he is now being partnered by Tom Helm.

  12. Kent duo dig inpublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Kent 192-6 v Notts

Zak Crawley and Grant Stewart's partnership of 67 runs has frustrated the Notts bowlers who enjoyed a very profitable morning at Tunbridge Wells.

So far only Willem Mulder has fallen in the afternoon session to a James Pattinson delivery.

Crawley has been there since the first over and has anchored the innings well. Now on 90 not out, he will be eyeing an impressive century forged in difficult conditions.

  13. wicket

WICKET Abbott c ten Doeschate b Beard 18published at 15:11 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Hampshire 118 & 61-8 v Essex 214

    Aaron BeardImage source, Rex Features

Another soft dismissal at Chelmsford as Kyle Abbott lobs a catch to mid-off to become Aaron Beard's first victim of the match.

Opener Joe Weatherley is still there on 23 not out as Mason Crane comes to the middle. Is he going to carry his bat through the entire innings?

  14. Abbott opts for aggressionpublished at 15:03 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Hampshire 118 & 54-7 v Essex 214

You can't call it death or glory batting by Kyle Abbott, because there's precious little glory to be had by Hampshire in this situation, but he has certainly thrown caution to the wind.

After two boundaries off Aaron Beard, he comes down the pitch to fellow South African Simon Harmer and lofts the ball straight for six.

Abbott tries to do the same again later in the over, so Harmer bowls it out wide, but he manages to squeeze it away square for four more.

    The deficit is now 42.

  15. Division Two round-uppublished at 15:00 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

Paul Stirling's unbeaten 103 has helped move Middlesex on to 317-5 after 97 overs, He's currently being partnered by wicket-keeper John Simpson as they look to build a big total.

Lancashire's Graham Onions has struck early to remove Derbyshire's Billy Godleman and Wayne Madsen, leaving the batting side on 14-2 from seven overs, in a game delayed by inclement weather earlier today.

A century from Neil Dexter has helped Leicestershire reach 175-1 from 50 overs. He is being ably assisted by Hasan Azad (61) with the only Gloucestershire breakthrough coming early on, when Paul Horton was dismissed without scoring.

WICKET Leaning b Miles 0published at 14:56 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Yorkshire 93-4 v Warwickshire

Craig Miles has turned this match on its head with three wickets in the space of eight deliveries.

Jack Leaning is bowled through the gate and departs for a four-ball duck on the ground where he plays his club cricket.

Very much not what he would have been hoping for as he walked out to the middle.

  17. wicket

WICKET Kohler-Cadmore lbw Miles 0published at 14:52 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Yorkshire 93-3 v Warwickshire

Two wickets in three balls for Craig Miles at Clifton Park.

Will Fraine obligingly clips the ball to mid-wicket, where Matt Lamb takes a good catch, and departs for 42, after a stand of 85 with Gary Ballance, and Tom Kohler-Cadmoe follows when he is adjudged leg-before.

Ballance is still there on 36 and has now been joined by York CC player Jack Leaning - how he'd love to make a big score in this game.

  18. for Simon Harmerpublished at 14:44 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Hampshire 118 & 32-7 v Essex 214

    Simon HarmerImage source, Rex Features

This is an unequal contest, to say the least.

Simon Harmer floats up another off-break, Keith Barker pushes uncertainly forward and ball spins off the edge to Alastair Cook at first slip.

That is the fourth time Harmer has taken 10 wickets or more in a first-class game - and the fourth time at Chelmsford.

What a signing he has been for the 2017 champions.

Superb innings by Neil Dexter, who turns Graeme van Buuren away for an easy single and goes to his century from only 136 balls. Hassan Azad is proving a perfect foil at the other and he now has 52 not out.

WICKET Fuller lbw Harmer 4published at 14:39 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Hampshire 118 & 32-6 v Essex 214

Simon Harmer sends one down outside off stump, James Fuller leaves it alone, but it spins back sharply and there's nothing he can do to prevent it striking him on the pad. Another one gone.

Essex four wickets from victory - and Harmer only needs one of them for 10 in the match.
