  1. Worcs 114-5 v Essexpublished at 16 overs

Ross Whiteley joins Daryl Mitchell in the middle. Four overs left. Dan Lawrence will bowl out his allocation.

  2. 'He walked off as soon as he saw the replay'published at 19:47 British Summer Time 21 September 2019

He was on the line, but you've got to be over it.

The batsman walked off as soon as he saw the replay on the big screen.

    Terrific breakthrough for Essex.

WICKET Wessels run out 31published at 15.3 overs

    Worcs 112-5 v Essex

Oh my, a superb piece of fielding!

Riki Wessels and Daryl Mitchell try to rush through for a quick single, but Paul Walter throws down the stumps and Wessels is just - and I mean just - short of his ground.

Just a couple of balls before that Simon Harmer very nearly pulled off a worldie of a catch on the boundary, but could only palm Wessels' shot to cow corner over the rope.

  4. Worcs 107-4 v Essexpublished at 15 overs

Ravi Bopara's not quite as tight with his latest over as nine come from it, which is good news for Worcestershire.

Daryl Mitchell helps himself to a four midway through the over, which feels like the first boundary in a wee while.

    Worcs 98-4 v Essex

    Nick Gledhill

I think a score of 150 is what Worcestershire will be hoping for.

Will the dew play a part to help Essex later on?

  6. Worcs 98-4 v Essexpublished at 14 overs

Daryl Mitchell cuts Aron Nijjar to the fence to get off the mark very nicely indeed - but the spinner comes back really well. Just three more runs come from the over.

What do Worcestershire settle for here? Even 150 feels a bit of a way off...

If Essex go on to win the T20 Blast, a lot of it is probably going to be down to this four-over spell from their captain.

Simon Harmer ends with 3-16 from his four overs.

Daryl Mitchell is the new man in.

  9. wicket

WICKET Parnell b Harmer 19published at 12.5 overs

    Worcs 90-4 v Essex

Simon Harmer is borderline unplayable here.

After bowling an absolute snorter to Wayne Parnell, which somehow misses everything, he clean bowls him three deliveries later with another beauty.

    Too good.

  10. 'Harmer's had a pretty poor tournament up until today'published at 19:33 British Summer Time 21 September 2019

    Worcs 89-3 v Essex

    Tymal Mills
Sussex bowler on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

Simon Harmer has bowled brilliantly today, the conditions have definitely suited him but I think he's had a pretty poor tournament up until today in terms of his economy rate.

  11. 'Three biggest roars of final'published at 19:32 British Summer Time 21 September 2019

    Worcs 89-3 v Essex

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at Edgbaston

Second time today Simon Harmer has bowled a hat-trick ball. And his removal of Moeen Ali and then Ben Cox - and his shout against Wayne Parnell - produced the three biggest roars of the final so far.

That shout against Parnell was certainly a lot closer to taking a wicket than his previous attempt against Matt Critchley.

The one common denominator in the two Harmer near-misses was the quality of the shots in the middle. Last year’s man of the match in the final Cox’s attempted sweep first ball was as bad and disrespectful a shot to the best spinner in the country as Anuj Dal’s walk down the wicket to him was for Derbyshire earlier.

It’s a fair bet Somerset will not be producing a wicket like this on which to face Harmer in next week’s title decider at Taunton.

  12. Worcs 89-3 v Essexpublished at 12 overs

Spin is the way forward for Essex, that's for sure. And that's the way the captain sees it, too, as Dan Lawrence continues into his third over.

Wayne Parnell and Riki Wessels manage to scamper two excellent twos with some fine running, but it's otherwise becoming a touch cagey again.

  13. Worcs 82-3 v Essexpublished at 11 overs

    Parnell 14, Wessels 22

The pair in the middle can't get Simon Harmer away. It's another tight over from the Essex skipper.

Adzo: Is there no DRS in the T20 Blast Final? Cox was never out there! Worcestershire robbed!

    Nope.

  15. Worcs 75-3 v Essexpublished at 10 overs

That's a decent comeback at the end of the over from Aron Nijjar, however, limiting Wayne Parnell and Riki Wessels to just one more single between them.

Parnell goes big!published at 9.4 overs

    Worcs 74-3 v Essex

Aron Nijjar is into the attack for Essex now - but Wayne Parnell is not messing about!

He first smacks the spinner for six, before claiming a boundary from the very next ball.

This is turning into an expensive over for the Eagles - and a very handy one for Worcestershire.

  17. Worcs 62-3 v Essexpublished at 9 overs

How about that from Simon Harmer?!

He may have been more than a touch fortunate with the dismissal of Ben Cox, mind you, as replays show he's got a big inside edge onto it before the ball struck his pad. Cox is really unlucky.

Wayne Parnell is the new man in for Worcestershire.

Here comes the hat-trick ball from Simon Harmer... but he survives, despite another big appeal for lbw!

  19. wicket

WICKET Cox lbw b Harmer 0published at 8.3 overs

    Worcs 61-3 v Essex

Simon Harmer's on a hat-trick for the second time today!

He gets one to straight up just enough and Ben Cox, who made just one in the semi-final, is trapped in front to fall for a first-ball duck.

  20. 'Danger man is gone'published at 19:19 British Summer Time 21 September 2019

    Worcs 61-2 v Essex

    Paul Newton
    BBC Essex sport

Fantastic diving catch and Simon Harmer's evening just got even better.

That's his fifth wicket of the day and the danger man goes.
