Disagree with Mike (see 17:05 BST entry), you can't use a white ball in Test cricket. However, what could be a solution when we do get a miserable day like today - could both sides agree before play to use a pink for the first 80 overs?

For me it has been YouTube and an endless amount of cricket quizzes.

One benefit is it has improved my spelling of various cricketers greatly.

    Promising.

As frustrating as it has been, it has just been good to get international cricket back today.

It has been a struggle to fill my cricket fix. I think I've watched every "Insanely fast Shoaib Akhtar spell" YouTube has to offer over the past three months.

    How have you coped?

Mike Bell: As I said earlier, there is NO reason for bad light stopping cricket when there are floodlights available. Change to a white ball used for the same number of overs and PLAY CRICKET! No safety issues, so 'purists' please do get over yourselves.

With the stands completely empty, covers on and lights shining through the gloom it looks pretty bleak out there.

After bad light brought an early tea the hover cover was brought on and has been in place for the past 20 minutes.

Now, with a spot of drizzle falling, the bigger sheets are being rolled out too.

    Bad news I'm afraid.

England's in batsmen Joe 'Denners' Denly and Rory 'Capt Jack' Burns are both looking down from the dressing room. It has been one of those frustrating days.

This final session could theoretically run until 19:30 BST if the weather holds.

I would like to see the bowling attack to be a little fuller. In the first two overs there were a couple that would have gone on to hit the stumps and the one where Sibley was bowled.

Since they have come back West Indies have been a bit short and a bit wide.

Dom Sibley was bowled for a duck in the second over by Shannon Gabriel.

In the clip below Michael Vaughan analyses the wicket. You'll be able to see much more in the daily highlights programme on BBC Two tonight at 19:00 BST.

Thanks Kal. Considering my earlier stint consisted of three and a half hours and no cricket I'm not sure I am the one to turn to for luck.

After the loss of Dom Sibley, England have recovered well through Denly and Burns...

I can't quite remember when I last covered a session with so many rain/bad light stoppages.

That's my lot for now. I'm tagging in Matt Henry and hope he brings you a bit more luck.

West Indies' start was very, very good and resulted in the early review and the eventual wicket of Dom Sibley.

Since then the bowlers have gone away from that a little bit and were a little wide and short.

As Holder and Joseph have gotten into their spells they have managed to string some balls together, control the run-rate and bring some normalcy.
