Shane Dowrich in next for West Indies as Bess completes his over.

Watching the replay, that was a very poor (some might say ugly) shot selection by Blackwood.

    Well bowled, Dominic Bess!

He has had great rhythm all day.

He will have felt Blackwood was coming after him and he has bowled it a little bit wider and a little bit slower. Blackwood fell for the oldest trick in the book.

    Blackwood c Anderson b Bess 12 (WI 186-5)

Well, we did say Jermaine Blackwood likes to score quick.

Having seen off four dot balls, he dances down the wicket to Dom Bess, takes an almighty swing and toe-ends it straight to Anderson at mid-off.

Bess strikes again. Blackwood won't want to watch that again.

It is going to be an interesting contest between Bess and Blackwood. I have been impressed with Bess.

    Chase 15, Blackwood 12

After two interrupted days, this game is ticking along nicely now.

Blackwood, who has the reputation of someone who likes to go aerial and score at some pace, happy to see off an Anderson maiden.

That was a beautiful shot. Blackwood has absolutely timed that.

    England 204

Much better from Jermaine Blackwood as Bess tosses it up and the West Indies number six elegantly drives that through the cover for four.

That first innings deficit is coming down. Windies trail by 20.

In case you haven't spotted, umpires aren't taking a bowler's cap and sweater. That means one of the subs is running on between overs to gather discarded clothing. The floodlights are on, which seems entirely unnecessary.

I'll steer clear of the hot and spicy chicken, Stephan. I'm a margherita man.

Blackwood is off the mark with a slice of luck, courtesy of a thick inside edge off Anderson which races along to the fine-leg boundary for four.

We might be in for some entertainment one way or the other as Blackwood shows intent with an attempted loft over point. It's not timed and it's aerial, but he manages to clear the infield and pick up a couple of runs.

    Open, but business is slow.

  12. WI 173-4published at 57 overs

It continues to be spin from one end. England identifying that Roston Chase isn't looking all that comfortable against Dom Bess.

Bess gives it a lot of flight and completes yet another maiden. A couple more quick wickets for England and suddenly things are looking much, much brighter for the home side.

This is turning into a good game. I have seen Blackwood bat before and he likes to get on with it.

    Chase 15, Blackwood 0

Jermaine Blackwood is new man in. He scored his only international century against England. But that was in 2015 and he said last week that he has a point to prove.

    Anderson completes his wicket-taking over.

I have been tough on the umpires but that was a very good decision.

The technology convincingly backs up the umpire. It was a big spike and it could only have been bat.

WICKETpublished at 14:13 British Summer Time 10 July 2020

    Brooks c Buttler b Anderson 39 (WI 173-4)

Would you believe it? West Indies fail with a review. Anderson bowled a tight line outside off, Brooks had a little nibble and there was a definite sound. Replays showing a spike as the ball passed the bat.

    Breakthrough for England.

That was a really strange one. It was a late appeal.

  19. West Indies reviewpublished at 14:12 British Summer Time 10 July 2020

Brooks edges Anderson behind. It's given out but he decides to review right at the last second. I think he's nicked this.

Gotta love it,the lack of fans being cited as a reason for poor performance by England. Meanwhile Pakistan were playing pretty well in dead as duck stadiums in the UAE. Stop whining.
