There is movement in the air for Kemar Roach. Rory Burns had a play at that one.

  4. Eng 14-1published at 8 overs

Kemar Roach is finding a bit of swing from round the wicket to the left-handed Rory Burns.

But Burns tucks off his pads for a couple before pushing through mid-wicket for a single to finish the over.

Arjun Singh: Am I missing something, or have the Windies just made the same mistake twice picking Gabriel in this Test? Surely this was predictable?

Kemar Roach will complete the last four balls of the over.

Will Shannon Gabriel be able to come back? He did so in the last Test after spending some time off the field.

If it is his hamstring it's quite hard to come back from that. It doesn't look good.

This was always going to be the danger for the West Indies. They opted for the extra spinner and this is really bad news for them. He's touching the back of his back leg, maybe his hamstring I think.

  9. Eng 11-1published at 7.2 overs

This could be a big problem for the West Indies.

Shannon Gabriel pulls up during his run up twice in a row.

    And now he's hobbling off.

There will be a lot of attention on Rahkeem Cornwall, the imposing figure standing at first slip. It's said he's the heaviest man to ever play Test cricket, but do not let his size mask the fact that he is a very dangerous off-spinner.

He once had a summer with Thames Ditton CC in Surrey. They say he said little, and was always under the watchful eyes of his own coach, who made the journey with him. On the one weekend the coach wasn't around, Rahkeem nailed the yard of ale faster than anyone they had ever seen.

Nice shape and movement from Jason Holder straight away.

A beauty of a first ball beats Joe Root's outside edge.

    That's a maiden over.

Oliver Camp: I fancy Holder for 2-3 quick wickets here. He's a smart bowler who will make the best of these conditions.

Windies captain Jason Holder is into the attack.

Michael Holding is looking super stylish in the commentary box with a red rosette to match his red jacket.

Puts my red t-shirt to shame.

Rory Burns nearly ducked his head into the ball there!

  16. Eng 11-1published at 6 overs

Rory Burns executes a somewhat unconvincing evasion of a Shannon Gabriel bumper.

The last ball is very wayward - down leg and beyond the dive of Windies keeper Shane Dowrich before streaking away for four byes.

It was a close call for Joe Root but he just managed to get the stride in. It would have been a big call for England, but it is doing a little bit. The first session is going to be crucial.
