I think the umpires have had enough, I'm afraid.
I see the light meter...
A full toss from Joe Root, filthy in every way, and he's lucky that Babar Azam picks out the fielder in the deep and can only get a single.
I have to say, it is properly gloomy now...
Send for this good boy!

It is very dark, I'm just being honest. They have spin bowling at both ends, the umpires are happy for now. But I don't think for very long.
Dom Bess will continue, and there's a half-shout as he strikes Azhar Ali on the pad, the Pakistan captain pushing away from his body. I think there was an inside edge on that.
Here's number 599...

Jonny: If they can have cameras in stumps, why not a light meter too? The reading could be broadcast so everyone knows where they stand (like the old lights on the scoreboard system) and there might be fewer arguments and general disgruntlement...
Babar Azam is off the mark with a clip off the hip that rolls away for one.
Joe Root has got three men around the bat, which is two more than he gave Dom Bess.

It is very gloomy. If it deteriorates more, the umpires will just come off anyway.
Hang a giant torch above the Ageas Bowl, anyone?
Joe Root is coming on.

Jimmy will understand. He has to hope they come on tomorrow because they won't be on here for long, unless they keep the spinners on.

Jimmy's asking for a jumper, which I suspect means he's not going to be bowling...

Joe Root is warming up at slip.
...Can Jimmy bowl off-spin?

Imagine if the crowd was here. You can't help but say it, it's just that atmosphere that is missing.
Jimmy's having a chat with Jofra and smiling.
I'd like to know what his internal monologue is saying.
Well, Jofra was going to bowl, but it's not light enough, which means Dom Bess will have a whirl.
