  4. Darren Stevens, 44, still has more to give!published at 10:26 British Summer Time 7 September 2020

Top of the list of yesterday's stars, yet again, was Kent's Darren Stevens, 44, whose five-wicket haul helped bowl out fellow South Group challengers Hampshire for just 192.

Although last night he admitted he was disappointed to have been left out of Kent's T20 squad and wants to go out on loan, as he did last year with Derbyshire.

"I've really no idea why I'm not considered for the T20 side," he said. "I feel I've still got a lot to give in those sticky situations we've found ourselves in.

"At this stage of my career, I don't want to be bowling in the nets or to someone wearing a mitt. I want to be out there in the middle playing games of cricket. I never get tired of taking wickets and what I am really proud of is taking 800 wickets for Kent across all the formats."

In case you missed it yesterday, one match in the Central Group has already been abandoned in this round due to a non-playing squad member testing positive for coronavirus.

Gloucestershire v Northamptonshire at Bristol was called off after lunch on Sunday as it emerged a number of the Northants squad had been in contact with the player despite him self-isolating at home.

A statement issued by both clubs said the decision had been taken "in the interests of player welfare".

No play took place after lunch after Gloucestershire had reached on 66-6.

Weather outlookpublished at 10:20 British Summer Time 7 September 2020

Looks like we may have a few bands of showers on the radar today which could cause a few interruptions in play.

At Headingley, there's already some rain around which will mean a delayed start, but for the most part, it looks like another encouraging day.

Simon King from the BBC Weather Centre has the full forecast below.
