I like this umpire. He's not shy of sticking his finger up!

Ind 131-5
Decision overturned!
Ashwin survives. It came off his shoulder.
It's incredible stuff from Stokes, though, like the spell he bowled at Headingley before THAT innings.

That's a beauty.
Ind 131-6
Has Stokes done it again? It's another snorter to Ashwin.
Has that hit bat or shoulder?

I was on the set of Killing Eve being a waiter in a restaurant. Was standing for about an hour shooting the same section next to the person I assumed was the talent, though I didn't recognize her. Only on watching the episode did I realise it was Jodie Comer in a wig. Gutted.

Ooohhh, that's close. Ashwin cutting, so close to edging into the black gloves of Ben Foakes. Can England get a lead? What would be manageable for them if India get ahead?

Leach's confidence has improved a lot. He's had a good series.
Jack Leach is back. Good move. If I was Ashwin, I'd rather face Root than Leach.

This game is moving on quickly, but you wouldn't want to see India to get 250 from this position.
Not only is Stokes bending it around corners, he's also generating the sort of pace that gets Ashwin pinned by a lifter. He needs some treatment on his bowling hand. I'm not wishing an injury on him, but a broken spinning finger would really help England...

Talking about being an extra, Dawn (Tufnell's wife) was an extra in The Bill once. They were filming on Tooting High Street and she was roped in to walk into a newsagents. We all sat down to watch it - she was very excited - but we couldn't see her. We slowed it down on the VHS and there she was... as a reflection in a mirror. She was gutted!
I can't get over actors being paid by the day. You'd think an A-lister comes up with a set fee before they sign up. Instead, they file a timesheet at the end of the week. Ben Stokes has his left boot off again. Whatever is going on with that wheel, he should keep doing it. Ashwin pounces on a rare loose one to jab a full toss through point for four.

Sometimes hand doubles are for complex tasks the real actor can't do (such as piano playing). The rest of the time it's usually a cost issue. Some actors' daily rates are so high, and their time on set so precious, that anything that can be shot without them is shot without them.

This is setting up to be a superb game, isn't it? England have been excellent with the ball. What they would give for another seamer to employ right now. Is it not worth getting Jack Leach back on? It's still Root. In other news, I'm currently watching the Test whilst being accompanied by stories from In The Night Garden.

That was a beauty. That has hooped back!
The players have taken drinks as Ravichandran Ashwin makes his way to the middle.
As that wicket fell, my son wandered in, having just woken up.
I explained to him that Rohit Sharma was out.
"Sorry about that," he said.

Ben Stokes is a matchwinner.

To get a ball to swing like that, to someone who is so set... Stokes has bamboozled him. Rohit's footwork is all over the place.
Rohit lbw b Stokes 49 (Ind 121-5)
That is a a huge wicket and an incredible delivery.
Ben Stokes has produced a banana of an inswinger to do for Rohit Sharma, who was going to leave it, only to be done as it came back. It's trimming the bails. Good enough for England.
Big moment.
