    Notts 307 v Derbyshire 149 & 115-6

That ball didn't really deserve a wicket. but Luke Fletcher has one anyway as Fynn Hudson-Prentice is caught behind down the leg-side for nine. That's three catches now for Dane Schadendorf, who was called into this game to replace Ben Duckett.

Only four Derbyshire wickets left now and they need another 43 just to make Notts bat again.

  4. Leicestershire save the follow-onpublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 6 July 2021

    Somerset 461-9d v Leics 313-7

A few times it's looked like Leicestershire were about to be blown out of the game.

But each time they've rallied and they've now claimed a third batting point and avoided the prospect of being asked to bat again.

    Harry Swindells into the 90s.

Gloucestershire, Hampshire and Surrey are dearly hoping their resistance continues.

Will we see some play today at the Ageas Bowl? The umpires think it is possible and have ordered a 17:00 BST start. Brad Wheal was midway through an over when played ended last night, so there will be 24.4 to come today, weather permitting.

Glamorgan all outpublished at 16:14 British Summer Time 6 July 2021

    Sussex 226 v Glam 215

Just the 11-run deficit for Glamorgan, who were 117-5 at one stage and could have missed out on a batting point at 188-9.

So a one-innings shoot-out coming up at Hove.

Four sessions left in the game, is there time for a result?

  10. Tea at Old Traffordpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 6 July 2021

    Lancashire 155-6 v Kent 74

History repeats itself at Trent Bridge.

Notts took a wicket with the final ball of the morning session and they've done it again before the tea interval with Matt Critchley caught behind off Joey Evison for 36. It was a good delivery which left him off the pitch and replacement keeper Dane Schadendorf did the rest.

Derbyshire will resume 58 behind with just five wickets left.

  13. Tea at Tauntonpublished at 16:03 British Summer Time 6 July 2021

    Somerset 461-9d v Leics 290-7

They've refused to go away these Foxes.

Harry Swindells takes tea 80 not out and should give his side a third batting point after the break.

Somerset have another nine overs to take two more wickets for a third bowling point.

Another 22 needed to save the follow-on and that's now very possible.

There are two men out for just that shot, but Matt Critchley bisects them as he hooks Joey Evison for four. Critchley is still cruising along at around a run per ball and is 30 not out. The Derbyshire deficit is now 73.

Despite the forecast of showers for most of the day, we got to about 3.30pm before the weather caused any problems at Edgbaston.

One minute I was tweeting a picture of lovely blue skies over the ground, the next the lights came on, the hover cover was cranked up and the players sprinted from the field as a squall hit the ground.

That meant an early tea with Durham trailing Warwickhire's first innings score by 64 runs. David Bedingham is on 37 and Ned Eckersley 18.

Craig Miles took four of the first five wickets to go and has 4-34 from 14 overs.

  20. Postpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 6 July 2021

Matt Quinn continues for Kent. That's a decent over, costing him only three runs, and Lancashire's lead is now 56.
