Berg c Northeast b Coad 0 (Northants 97-7 need 206 to beat Yorkshire)

Two in the over for Ben Coad and once again this game looks done.

It's a shocker from Gareth Berg who's lobbed one up to cover.

    Warwickshire 237 v Durham 173-5

There's a silly mid-off in place as Ethan Brookes begins his latest over, but the first ball is short of a length and David Bedingham eases it away off the back foot for four. The South African is 37 not out and Ned Eckersley has 18.

Tom Taylor has tried to get Northants back into the game with 40 from 44 balls but he's now gone and Yorkshire are big favourites once again.

Luke Procter still there for the home side but is there enough in the lower order to find another 109 runs?

    Somerset 361-9d v Leics 255-5

Harry Swindells has gone to his half-century.

But Ben Mike is now playing a very lively innings to move his side into calmer waters.

He's struck seven fours and this is a really good stand after the loss of Colin Ackermann.

Still trail by a long chalk though.

    Notts 307 v Derbyshire 149 & 68-4

A productive over for Derbyshire as Matt Critchley collects three fours off Joey Evison, the first a straight drive and the others through the covers off back and front foot.

He has 20 from 13 balls and Harvey Hosein has avoided a pair with a single.

  8. Postpublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 6 July 2021

    Lancashire 117-6 v Kent 74

We have cricket at Old Trafford where Rob Jones square cuts Matt Quinn for four. The ball climbed on him a little, so he wasn't fully in control of the shot, but he directed it into the gap nonetheless.

It's Darren Stevens from the other end and Steven Croft puts away a wide half-volley for another boundary.

Stevens gets his line right three balls later and Croft is gone for 13 - bowled offering no stroke to one that nipped back off the pitch.

  9. England send for new coaching squadpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 6 July 2021

This morning we were telling you about all the comings and goings in the England one-day squad because of Covid.

Head coach Chris Silverwood, who was planning to take a break during the series against Pakistan, will be in charge.

And he has assembled a new team of coaches to work alongside him.

Anthony McGrath and Jonathan Trott will look after the batsmen, and Alan Richardson and Jeetan Patel will oversee the bowlers' preparations.

    Notts 307 v Derbyshire 149 & 55-4

Notts are really scenting victory now as Dane Paterson has Luis Reece lbw for 21. The ball was angled in to the left-hander from round the wicket and the umpire took a few seconds to make up his mind before raising the finger. Harvey Hosein is the new batsman - and he's on a pair.

    Hampshire 488 v Surrey 42-4 - start delayed

We've had no play so far at the Ageas Bowl because of rain. The umpires now say they will inspect at 16:00 BST.

    Notts 307 v Derbyshire 149 & 50-3

Are Derbyshire heading for an innings defeat? Leus du Plooy is bowled by Dane Paterson for one - perhaps a little inside edge there. Matt Critchley drives the next delivery for four through a gap at mid-off as the visitors reach 50.

This is very impressive by Craig Miles, who picks up his fourth wicket by having Sean Dickson lbw for five after he played across the line.

  14. wicket

Middlesex all outpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 6 July 2021

    Glos 248 v Middx 101

    Wow this is some collapse.

At 76-2 the visitors were enjoying one of their better starts to an innings this season.

But they've then lost 8-25 to concede a massive lead.

Dan Worrall took two in two balls just before lunch and it's created a disastrous slide after the break.

No David Payne but no bother for the Glosters who should now go on to complete a victory they really need.

Captain dismisses captain. Will Rhodes bowls Scott Borthwick for 20 as Durham lose their fourth wicket. Borthwick left a gap between bat and pad and his off stump was knocked flat.

    Warwickshire 237 v Durham 135-3

David Bedingham has now scored more than 800 Championship runs this season - and 1,000 plus in all formats.

After a let-off at fourth slip earlier in the over, he squeezes a thick edge past second slip for four and progresses to 25 not out.

WICKETpublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 6 July 2021

Zaib c Lyth b Olivier 9 (Northants 43-5 need 206 to beat Yorkshire)

A bit of bounce for Duanne Olivier and a loopy edge just carries low to second slip.

Luke Procter is back today for Northants after missing yesterday's play - is he their last hope?

    Dane SchadendorfImage source, Rex Features

Having contributed 24 runs this morning, replacement Notts keeper Dane Schadendorf makes no mistake with the gloves as Brooke Guest is caught behind off Brett Hutton. That was a magnificent delivery which was taken by Schadendorf in front of his face. Derbyshire trail by 123 as Leus du Plooy comes out to bat.

  20. Postpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 6 July 2021

Back on after a brief rain delay at Cheltenham and the Glosters have nipped out another to get right on top.

Peter Handscomb has endured a terrible time in the Championship and falls for 21 here just pushing at one from Matt Taylor that left him a fraction.
