That's lunch at Taunton, a brilliant session from Lancashire to counter-attack after two early wickets.

A no ball in the final over brought up the 100 partnership between Luke Wells (72) and Josh Bohannon (21).

    Bat has dominated ball.

    Yorkshire v Warwickshire 103-6

The 100 comes up for Warwickshire with Michael Burgess on 36 from 39 and former Yorkshire man Tim Bresnan on four from 22.

    Alsop b Paterson 16 (Hampshire 45-3 v Nottinghamshire)

Twenty minutes before lunch and Division One leaders Notts have their first bowling point.

Dane Paterson angles one in from round the wicket, Tom Alsop tries to take his bat out of the way but deflects the ball down into his stumps.

He cannot believe what he has just done.

  7. 50 runs

for Tom Hainespublished at 12:08 British Summer Time 12 September 2021

    Leicestershire v Sussex 100-0

There is no stopping him at the moment.

Tom Haines - the first man to 1,000 runs this season - pushes Callum Parkinson to mid-on for a single and reaches 50 off 66 balls.

The century partnership arrives as Ali Orr takes one to mid-wicket off Ed Barnes.

    Hampshire 42-2 v Nottinghamshire

A maiden from Joey Evison to Tom Alsop, who is 16 not out. Partner Nick Gubbins has seven - no, make that 11 as he punches Dane Paterson down the ground off the back foot at the start of the next over.

    Woakes lbw b Patterson 9 (Yorkshire v Warwickshire 71-6)

Six (yes six) wickets before lunch for Yorkshire, and we've still got plenty of overs to go in the morning session.

Steven Patterson has his third, pinning England's Chris Woakes leg before.

Out comes Tim Bresnan who gets a fine reception from the Yorkshire faithful.

  10. Latest from Divisions Two and Threepublished at 11:55 British Summer Time 12 September 2021

Alastair Cook has now advanced to 26 not out in Essex's 53-1 after 21 overs against Surrey at the Kia Oval.

The Glamorgan openers are still together in Cardiff with David Lloyd 38 not out and Hamish Rutherford on 26 against Gloucestershire.

Durham's Chris Rushworth is now having a breather after a spell of 3-27 with the new ball at Northampton, where the home side are 67-3.

In Division Three, England's Zak Crawley has just hit two fours in the same Dustin Melton over and is 33 not out in Kent's 69-1 against derbyshire.

Tom Haines is 43 not out and heading towards another fifty for Sussex, who are 80-0 after 18 overs against Leicestershire.

Middlesex are struggling on 53-3 after 19 against Worcestershire, with Ed Barnard and Charlie Morris both picking up a wicket after being brought on to bowl.

    Somerset v Lancashire 102-2

And the 100 up for Lancashire.

The left-hander brings up his 37th first-class fifty from 48 balls by carving one to the fence.

That's his 11th boundary in the hour he's been at the crease. Great batting to get the visitors out of a tricky period.

    Yorkshire v Warwickshire 67-5

Matthew Lamb's wicket at Headingley has brought Chris Woakes out to bat for Warwickshire. He's on nine from 11.

I don't think the England all-rounder would have imagined he'd be out to bat before lunch when he woke up this morning.

  13. Postpublished at 11:47 British Summer Time 12 September 2021

    Somerset v Lancashire 82-2

Lancashire reach the first hand sanitiser break on 82-2.

Luke Wells has looked very impressive on 36 for 42 while Josh Bohannon has played well for his 14 off 36.

Scoring hasn't been a problem so far.

  14. Postpublished at 11:39 British Summer Time 12 September 2021

    Hampshire 27-2 v Nottinghamshire

Superb stroke. Tom Alsop drives straight down the ground for four runs as Brett Hutton overpitches.

A similar shot brings the same result to end the over - that one was slightly uppish and therefore less aesthetically pleasing, though.

Hutton and Luke Fletcher have now bowled eight overs each in tandem - time for one or both to be given a rest?

Yes, here comes Joey Evison for Fletcher, who has 1-9.

    Lamb b Patterson 16 (Yorkshire v Warwickshire 55-5)

Another wicket for Yorkshire bowler Steven Patterson, who bowls Matthew Lamb through the gate for 16.

What a decision from Yorkshire to bowl first at the toss. Definitely the right call now.

The 50 comes up for Warwickshire.

A tiny ripple of applause from the Headingly faithful.

    Hampshire 19-2 v Nottinghamshire

Only one boundary in the first 13 overs for Hampshire, but now they have a second as Tom Alsop cracks one through the covers off Brett Hutton.

The left-hander was given a little too much room outside off stump there. They are Alsop's first runs, but partner Nick Gubbins is still on nought.

    Benjamin b Patterson 9 (Yorkshire v Warwickshire 48-4)

What a first hour this has been for Yorkshire!

Chris Benjamin gets it all wrong, going for a big shot and is bowled through the gap.

A deserved wicket for Steven Paterson who sprint off in celebration.

Warwickshire were favourites for the title this time a week ago. They need some comeback now if they want to stay in the title race.

No joy yet for Gloucestershire against Glamorgan, with the Welsh county 39-0 in the 13th over at Cardiff.

Northamptonshire are 52-2 in the 12th against Durham - Chris Rushworth has both wickets so far, most recently Emilio Gay caught behind for 17.

In Division Three, Kent are 43-1 in the 11th over against Derbyshire, with Daniel Bell-Drummond (20) and Zak Crawley (13) together in the middle.

Luke Wells has raced to 26 off 23, great counter-attacking batting.

He drives yet another one down the ground, seeing the ball trickle to the boundary.

There's plenty of runs out their despite the green surface. The rate's almost five per over.
