In the Hollies there's a beer snake running from the very bottom to the very top of the stand. It's like the world's biggest stag do.

ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC!!!
Phil in Birmingham
Ollie Pope gets off the mark with a glance down to fine leg, before Rory Burns sees off the rest of Matt Henry's over.
You can see why New Zealand win Test matches and have made the World Test Championship final. They've made six changes for this game, and they are still causing England a host of problems.
I'd quite like to know if that was at Zak Crawley's lack of footwork, or just the general shot.
Neither were pleasant.

Hmm. He's hit that on the up - at 85-3, if that gets caught...
Risky from Rory Burns, considering he's just watched three of his mates lose their wickets at the other end.
It's wide from Neil Wagner and Burns throws his hands at it and it flashes away through point for a boundary.
England could do with a quiet half an hour here.
Ollie Pope is another who could do with some runs.
He's gone 12 Test innings without a half-century, with a highest score of 34 in that time.
Here are the first two wickets to fall after lunch, those of Dom Sibley and Zak Crawley.
Ollie Pope survives his first ball.
I will take some responsibility for this collapse. Apologies.

New Zealand are right on top now. Something is afoot out there - is it the clouds? - because they've really got the ball talking now.

New Zealand have got three after lunch - and this is the big one!
Root c Blundell b Henry 4 (Eng 85-3)
Wow!
What is happening? England were barely in trouble during the first session, but they've lost three wickets in less than five overs after lunch.
Matt Henry's line is a little bit tighter than the previous ball, and a thin edge from Joe Root is well caught by Tom Blundell.
There is a little bit more swing - Henry is getting 50% more swing apparently - but England aren't doing themselves any favours.

It suddenly feels like a wicket could fall off any ball.
Offt!
Joe Root is off the mark, but it's not in convincing fashion at all.
He's reaching outside off stump, ending on his knee, and a thick edge flies through the vacant gap between slip and gully.

Incredible reception for Joe Root from a Hollies Stand that is already in early evening form. What a week it has been for the skipper. How many other times has an England captain had to speak on an issue where the prime minister has also aired his view?
Rory Burns sees out a maiden from Neil Wagner.
England are going to have to go through a period of rebuilding here.

Moose And G: Zak Crawley. That double hundred seems a long time ago now.
Despite those two quick wickets after lunch the crowd are absolutely buzzing at Edgbaston. Their lunch-time lubrication is definitely helping.
I hope Tim Paine, external is watching.
Burns 37, Root 0
England's next Test match is just under seven weeks away, against India at Trent Bridge. Zak Crawley will need some runs in the second innings to give himself a chance of being in that team.
Rory Burns picks up three with a nice push through mid-off, before Joe Root is beaten by Matt Henry and a little bit of dip deceives Tom Blundell and runs away for four byes.
