Trent Boult has got better throughout the day.
Trent Boult bangs it in short but Dan Lawrence rises well to fend it down.
Just one over to go - hey, we're going to get all 90 in today!
Trent Boult now comes round the wicket to Dan Lawrence.
Lawrence reads the line well and leaves it alone.

That is a lovely straight drive from Dan Lawrence - he really has played three or four sumptuous drive today. That may be the best of them.
Dan Lawrence definitely owns the top three shots of the day - you decide how to order them.
This might be the best? A magnificent straight drive back past the bowler for four. Certainly the best for the purists.
Lawrence 63, Wood 16

A roar follows as he drives past a diving mid-on and away for four. Shot!
England having more fun with the new ball than New Zealand so far.

The new ball has saved him.
And it's bouncing well over the stumps.
Good review by Mark Wood. On we go...
It did hit the pad, so Wood is not out caught behind. But now they check for lbw...

Has it hit the back pad?
Mark Wood is given out caught behind off Trent Boult but reviews straight away.
Did it hit pad instead of bat?

I just can't think it's right that it is going to be getting warmer and the pitch will get drier and Jack Leach isn't playing.

It's good work from Mark Wood - he is getting a good defensive stride in and his head is over the ball. It's a good little defence really.
I think we might never know with that one. Wood's bat does seem to brush the pad first but the spike was big - bigger than a brush of the pad usually is. But it could've been.
It probably doesn't matter.
Let's return to it when Mark Wood gets his maiden Test century.
