Somerset 114-8 - target 168published at 17 overs
A single to Ben Green ends the over. Four from it is nowhere near good enough for Somerset. Surely 54 from 18 balls is beyond them.

Overton c Leaning b Milnes 13 (Somerset 113-8)
A slower ball by Matt Milnes and Craig Overton tries to power it down the ground from outside off stump, but picks out Jack Leaning at mid-on. Somerset now in need of something approaching a miracle.

It's 14 years since Kent won their one and only T20 title, beating Gloucestershire here at Edgbaston.
Only two players performing that day in 2007 are still playing professional cricket, 45-year-old Darren Stevens and Joe Denly, still a mere stripling at 35.
Both have played big roles for Kent here. What a night for them if the Spitfires see this through.
Somerset aren't done yet though, of course.

Somerset are in a tricky situation but if ever moments define finals, that catch was an incredible piece of work.
A lot of us have seen a lot of cricket and never seen anything like that.
What a game Jordan Cox has had.
Somerset's total reaches 100 and Craig Overton despatches Darren Stevens down the ground for a much-needed six. He swings at the next and a lucky inside edge brings him four more runs - 58 off 24 is the target now.
Figures of 2-19 by Afghanistan's Qais Ahmad - a great contribution for Kent. Ben Green and Craig Overton are both one not out. Somerset require 71 from 30 balls.

I think certainly it seems to be fading out for Somerset.
It’s not a great delivery and he’s hit it straight to short cover, with Denly taking the catch.
After what happened earlier they’ll feel they have a chance still.
Van der Merwe c Denly b Ahmad 4 (Somerset 95-7)
Oh dear.
A full toss by Qais Ahmad and Roelof van der Merwe smacks it straight to the fielder at cover.
Somerset need something very special from someone now.

It’s parried back and I think we’ve seen something extraordinary.
He’s in mid-air, that’s incredible and the sort of fielding that you would never have dreamed of seeing when this tournament started back in 2003.
That was worth the entrance fee alone, that was like something out of the circus.
A dot ball from Darren Stevens to Ben Green ends another eventful over. Somerset need 73 from 36 deliveries.
Gregory c Milnes b Stevens 6 (Somerset 94-6)
That is one of the best relay catches you will ever see!
Lewis Gregory swipes Darren Stevens into the leg-side - it's going for six, but Jordan Cox leaps beyond the boundary rope and palms the ball back with one hand where Matt Milnes takes the catch just inside the rope.
Absolutely incredible.

That’s a big wicket.
Lammonby is a big player for Somerset. It looks like it spun sharply.
It’s slipping away from Somerset but the way the day has gone you can’t rule them out.
Lammonby lbw Denly 9 (Somerset 89-5)
Joe Denly's final over.
Will Lewis Gregory's sore back restrict his ability to go for the big shots?
Kent won't be concerned with that as Denly traps Tom Lammonby lbw with his final ball and ends with figures of 3-31.
TV replays suggest that was turning too much and it shouldn't have been given. More controversy.

Just over 10 an over all day has been gettable, so they’ll still feel this is perfectly in their grasp
The ground is still buzzing after that 'non-catch' which ultimately didn't cost Kent that much. Qais Ahmad hurries through another over. Sam Billings claims a stumping against Lewis Gregory but his back toe is anchored and he's not out. Somerset need to double their score from 48 balls.
One to Tom Lammonby ends an eventful over and he keeps the strike.
Smeed c Cox b Denly 43 (Somerset 79-4)
No mistake this time.
Will Smeed doesn't get hold of a full toss and Jordan Cox takes the catch well inside the rope.
Cox celebrates wildly, clearly furious that his catch a couple of balls earlier didn't stand.
Scott Read
BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra
I’m really surprised by that.
They’ve decided that because two players are touching they are one person and because Bell-Drummond is touching the rope it’s six.
Cox is nowhere near the rope.
I can’t get my head around that.
Somerset 77-3
Well, you don't see that very often - if ever.
Jordan Cox catches Will Smeed on the boundary but almost collides with Daniel Bell-Drummond who was also closing on the ball.
DBD touches the rope while their legs are contact and after a consultation with the TV umpire, Smeed is reprieved and a six is awarded.
A contentious talking point.

William Conrad Francis Smeed clearly likes playing at Edgbaston.
He has already made four appearances here this summer in short-form cricket in this the 19-year-old's first season in the game.
And cricket's latest exciting teenage rampager has so far not scored less than 35.
Knocks of 36, 46 and 65 not out for Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred helped his team get to the final at Lord's.
Now, on this equally big stage, at the halfway stage, he has Somerset's hopes in his young hands.
