Jack: The England we know and always frustrated by is back.
A beauty from Alzarri Joseph to Alex Lees with his second ball of the over.
Lees prods forward to a delivery touching 90mph and it nips away to beat his defensive stroke.

Richard: This England batting performance is all too familiar… are we sure this isn’t a re-run of an old game?
Not long until lunch now.Ben Stokes and Alex Lees just need to get through to the interval now.
On the England balcony, Jonny Bairstow is nervously supping a bottle of water with condensation running down the outside while Jack Leach nibbles at his finger nails.

Jonathan: Nothing’s changed. It’s ok scoring runs on flat pitches but when we’re put in on a pitch with a bit of grass on it, we’re found wanting….again! The same issues and problems resurfacing.

West Indies have bowled a very good line and length, and that delivery from Seales came back and trapped Lawrence in front.
Lawrence lbw b Seales 8 (Eng 46-3)
Arrowed into the pads of Dan Lawrence by Jayden Seales from wide of the crease and he gets the ball to jag away from Lawrence's bat and the ball thumps into the England batter's pads.
Lawerence was perhaps pinning his hopes on this sliding down leg given the angle of the delivery but the ball tracking shows it would have clattered into leg stump.
He's on his way.
Jayden Seales hits Dan Lawrence on the pad. He's given out on field.
At the last moment Lawrence reviews it, following an unconvincing chat with Alex lees at the non-striker's end, but this looks plumb in all honesty.
Pastel-coloured houses on stilts dot the lush green slopes which overlook the National Stadium in Grenada. A few dogs are snoozing in the sun while one resident peers down from his home in the shade, able to watch play unfold gratis.
England are able to milk three runs off Alzarri Joseph, Dan Lawrence keeping the strike with a neat leg glance.

The West Indies have bowled tidily. They've made the batsmen play, which is key in these conditions, and England are lucky to have only lost two wickets.
Really good, challenging, Test cricket this.
Jayden Seales beats the outside edge of Alex Lees' bat and walks down the pitch in his follow through.
Seales licks his top lip. He knows he has the upper hand in this contest at the moment. Lees' wicket is within grasp.
"Oh yeah" cheers Joshua da Silva as Alzarri Joseph beats the outside edge of Dan Lawrence's bat with his penultimate delivery.
Six dots nicely joined up by Joseph.

Kumaran Ravendradas: Lot of talk of bowlers being tired for final Test but it is clear to see West Indies plan coming to fruition here...they obviously planned to tire out all the England batsman in the first two Tests so they can be out cheaply here. I really hope I am wrong.
Dan Lawrence, melted sun cream across his nose and cheek, pushes Jayden Seales for a single through the covers.
Seales twice threatens Alex Lees. The England opener plays and misses at his fourth ball on the back foot before Lees leaves a ball which jags back and just misses his off stump.
Lees then edges one over the slip cordon after going at a drive hard.

What's frustrating about Zak Crawley is his inconsistency. Has the elegance to be the next KP but the temperament of Chris Gayle in a T20! He's young so I'm hopeful.
Fred, Clapham Common.
Kyle Mayers left the field at the end of the last over, giving his hamstring a bit of stretch, so Alzarri Joseph gets his first chance with the ball.
His second ball is a little wayward, down leg side, and beats the dive of Joshua da Silva to run away for four byes.
Next ball he's on the money to Dan Lawrence who defends well before bellowing "NO!" just in case Alex Lees fancied a risky single.

Mayers is quite a good height for this pitch. It means he has to bowl a fuller length than a taller bowler like Holder. It means the ball will swing more and challenge the batman's footwork.

Piemontemio: West Indies are in the ascendancy here, but they've lost two reviews inside 16 overs. I wonder if that will come into play later in England's innings here.
A change as Jayden Seales returns in place of Jason Holder.
His second ball allows Dan Lawrence, after 13 balls, to get off the mark with a flick off his pads.
Good gas from Seales who does Alex Lees for pace with his fifth ball which thumps into the left-hander's thigh pad.
