Alzarri Joseph eager to get down the wicket and wants to give it a big heave-ho down the ground off Jack Leach's second delivery but cannot get the ball past the fielder at point
Next ball he's more orthodox, and classical, with a back foot punch through cover for three. Why go for such a filthy slog when you have the talent to play that kind of shot?

Coming up in the TMS podcast tonight - a meeting of minds. Aggers meets Mattchin Tendulkar from the Tailenders podcast. They talk about Aggers' grandmother, Mattchin's love of the game, and Mattchin even tries his hand at commentary.
The ball tracking shows it sliding down leg and missing the stumps. England have burned all their reviews.
A bouncer from Craig Overton has Alzarri Joseph ducking out the way.
Next ball Overton hits Joseph on the pad and after a brief conflab between bowler and captain England go for a review.
The decision on field was not out.
This feels more in hope than expectation.

Max Headroom: Windies likely to have a lead of 100 plus going into second innings based on the recent form of tailenders.
I did read somewhere was 'Roland Butcher cocktail' available at bar in London. Love to hear about some more, and a description of the drink.
Ponderous stuff in Grenada. One run off Jack Leach's over.
Apparently there's an alcoholic version of the Arnold Palmer named after John Daly. Any drinks named after cricketers, though?
Just one run off that Craig Overton over as the pitch continues to offer very little to the bowlers with the softer ball. Overton has a go at a run out off his final ball on the follow through but Alzarri Josephs gets back in time.

Arnold Palmer is spinning in his grave. He's well refreshed at least.

Josha da Silva uses his feet to skip down the track and biff Jack Leach between long-on and cow corner for four. His second boundary of an innings of 88 balls.
These two West Indies batters are largely trying to grind England down but not allow the bowlers to settle into any kind of rhythm.

Whilst the bowlers are finding the soft ball harder to bowl with, the batsmen are also finding it harder to hit to the boundary - or even get it off the square.
A bit of a plateau in this game as Chris Woakes continues to target the stumps and keep Joshua da Silva in a defensive mindset.
The West Indies wicketkeeper steps across his stumps to Woakes' final ball which he whips away off his legs for a single.

This match is following the same pattern as yesterday with the ball getting softer and the batting much easier.
It's hard to get obdurate lower-order batsmen out in these conditions.
You can see this game is hugely in the balance. Every run is absolutely crucial.
Alzarri Joseph can bat.
He waits for his moment and for a shorter wider one from Jack Leach's penultimate delivery in that over is punished with a deft punch on the back foot through the point region for four.

Ben Naylor: England still have three wickets to get, I don't know why people seem to be assuming they'll get them out for only a few runs.
A maiden from Chris Woakes as Alzarri Joseph digs out a yorker from the Warwickshire all-rounder's final delivery.
Jack Leach and Saqib Mahmood initially played measured cricket in much the same way as these two.

Alzarri Joseph classes himself as batter, and likes to go on the attack. He need to curtail that instinct a little because of the nature of the game.

With the ball going soft like this, it'll be interesting to see what happens if West Indies need, say, 150 to win.
Did Arnold Palmer used to drink this concoction then, Richard?
Jack Leach bowls his second delivery fuller and quicker to strike the pad of Joshua da Silva, as the West Indies wicketkeeper attempts to sweep, but that's drifting down leg.
