Chris Woakes to Alzarri Joseph and the latter sets off for a risky single after he dabbed it to cover.
Dan Lawrence shies at the stumps - and misses - after a slight a fumble with Joseph able to get his bat down behind the line.
Joshua da Silva nudges Woakes' final ball into the leg side to keep the strike. The ball and conditions seem favourable for batting again.

You never know how good a pitch is until both 10 and 11s have batted on it.

A big shout for lbw with Jack Leach's first ball after that rain break which strikes Alzarri Joseph on the pad. Pitched outside leg and didn't straighten enough and would have missed leg stump.
"Come on Leachy" bellows Ben Foakes from behind the stumps. Joseph punches his fifth ball down the ground for a single.
That brief cloud burst has passed and we are back under way at the Grenada National Cricket Stadium.
Jack Leach has the ball in hand.

On sale in supermarkets in Grenada - Arnold Palmer's Half and Half Ice Tea Lemonade drink. No, I didn't try it.
A shower is passing over the ground so the covers are on the pitch. A handful of England players loiter around knowing they'll probably be back on shortly.

Alzarri Joseph is brimming with intent here. Stand and deliver to Ben Stokes and he biffs him straight down the ground. Stokes, diving to his left, gets a hand on it before Saqib Mahmood comes round to collect.
Bit of rain on the hills around, and the groundstaff are preparing to come on.

You never know how good a pitch is until both sides bowlers have batted on it...

Alzarri Joseph begins to charge Chris Woakes but his fourth ball is back of a length and gets big on the West Indies batter who pads it down in an othodox fashion.
A psychological ploy, maybe? Two balls later Woakes bounces him and Joseph is quickly on to it, hoisting a hook shot into the stands for six.

This is a really good game brewing here. If England can get a lead of 40-50 on this pitch in these conditions, it'll give them a huge helping hand.
Ben Stokes, who looks a little leggy it has to be said, is flicked for three by Alzarri Joseph from his first ball. He and Joshua da Silva then milk the strike for the next four deliveries.
Joseph has a big wild swing at Stokes' final ball - prompting a derisory look from the England all-rounder on his follow through - which just misses the stumps.

Simon Collett: Love being a Englishman...Yesterday at tea "Oh well there goes the series"... Today at tea "A 30-40 run lead here could be crucial to victory".

Chris Woakes keeps Alzarri Joseph honest before he slips one on to his pads which the West Indies batter flicks off his hips for a single.

As a captain you tell the bowlers in this situation to go out there and bust a gut.

England shouldn't try to change too much but they have got to start well. Not just let West Indies ease into this session.
Even during the tea interval Jack Leach is out there practicing his bowling.

England with new ball didn't get their lengths right. It was a little but friendly. After an hour or so they realised you have to whack the ball into the pitch to get the uneven bounce.
